Hi to everyone,I haven't been journaling very much but need to!  It's been almost 7 weeks since my husband's surgery and though he is doing pretty well, he's still not where he wants to be!  So every day I really try to encourage him and give him a lot of positives...warm fuzzies . .  it's interesting - usually I am the one needing all of those, but this whole experience has brought us much closer. I'm very happy with that - after almost 29 years, a marriage can be taken for granted even though neither of you want it to be that way.  We've gotten through so much together but when things are looking down, it brings you back to why you married the person in the first place! :] Don't know if that makes any sense, but it did to me. :]  On a lighter note, I participated in a cat show last weekend; you're probably saying a WHAT?? Well, I have shown my household pets in shows over the last 10 years... Sir Isaac Newton - "Newt" is the brown and white cat pictured in my photo... he was one that I took with me. I don't believe in all the breeding that goes on, so the only category I will ever show in is the Household Pet... You would be amazed at the wonderful rescue stories you hear - - kitties that have literally been taken out of a garbage bin (what is wrong with people??) and then turn out to be beautiful, happy, loving pets.  Anyway, I took Newt and another kitty who is 13 - Miss Marble - of course she was the oldest one there, looking beautiful.  It's a fun hobby I have had and when I am not gambling, it helps me take my mind off of the casinos!!   We came home with six ribbons!!!I hope everyone out there is doing well - I totally appreciate my friends on DS; this is a great outlet and I'm finding reaching out to others in our situation is very therapeutic and helpful.  Well, today is Superbowl - though I'm not a huge football fan, the big games are always fun to check into . . or is it the commercials???  Take care and happy Sunday,Smokeygirl
