Reconciling time, please indulge me

I've woken, washed and dressed. I had coffee and a small breakfast. I've walked the streets of Princeton a little. I'm here for a wedding. This is my take on things.

My time may not be my own. I may be scheduled up both here and at home but there are things I can do within those structures that are set out for me.

Its almost like there are societal prescriptions for what I can do too. So there's ostensibly even more structure to help me contain and apply myself to my day.

i think I like writing about my take on things. It interests me to pick things apart and offer my view.

Things are good. I could go on a city tour, I could watch sports, I could eat more. So many things to apply myself to while I wait for the next commitment I am booked for. My time may not feel like my own, I may wish I had more time to be free and roam and wonder but i still can in modicum if I just reconcile my time into sub groups

of the bigger picture I am a part of.

And so I will!

Somehow that reminds ne if Shakespeare and the sonnet (poem) .

In a sonnet, there are 14 lines and a strict rhythmic pattern, but you can say whatever you want!

I need structure and routine in my life. Some of it is automatically chaos and I never like that. But I do wish I could get a day off, even from routine!

I hope it's a nice wedding and you have a good time in Princeton!

Maybe i should have worked for the city council?

I sometimes think about how the people in power think about the mass and how to organize us and provide for the things a society would want and need. They might design the systems to keep things predictable and exploitative and managed maybe in a way as well.

The above was a journal i wrote this morning. I get so circumspect while trying to know what to do with myself or even when I want something more:

I think maybe I should have worked for city council. I would be good at taking care of society. My use of the word ‘exploitative’ really represents my paranoia about some people in government wanting control through means possible. I would definitely want to help create a society that works for all. I like European democracies.
