Reclaiming HOPE.
Good Morning Ya'll,
I have been sitting here with my elbows on the table.......staring through the soft gray light of day......lost in contemplation.
My hands folded unconsciously in prayer. Introspective. Drifting through the haze........wherever it is we go when we are feeling a little bit lost and uncertain.
I want to be included not discarded. Not held at arm's length. Valued, not simply tolerated or humored.
Lord let me be of value.
I think that I mean well..........don't mean to be a putz or stick my two cents in where they are not wanted or needed...........maybe I am clueless......a bumbler and a doofus. Maybe so. I used to have this confidence.............such a zest for life, to know others, to befriend them and include them.
I woke up today and felt like a lone figure parked on a wooden bench. That can't be the rest of the story. It needs a better ending, doesn't it?
That's the thing about perspective. Feeling blue distorts the view. Other times we find ourselves looking through rose colored glass...........some people see the glass half empty and others see it half full.
I have this irrepressible HOPE and yet........I woke up feeling like somebody was standing on my HOPE.
So here's the deal..............to whoever or whatever you are (and this includes me)..........get off my HOPE.
Lord even though I am small and quiet help me be a force of nature in a good way. I know I'm quirky, too sentimental for my own good and silly to a fault sometimes. Help me shed light and brightness............to turn outward and think of others..........not to look so hard in the mirror for flaws.......to feel whole and be a positive contented understanding soul. Put these feet back on YOUR path. A friend shared her thoughts about Dandelions this morning and I thought I am a Dandelion. I have always been a Dandelion. If that makes me a weed for life, then so be it. I'll be the best brightest sturdiest little Dandelion I can. Lord help me shine...........to stand tall in the sun........help me grow and find peace.

wow you should write a book, so well written ! I love your thoughts and share them too. Keep hope, never stop hoping.
Dandelions are beautiful and bright with strong roots; when I was little I thought they were the prettiest flower around and never could \"get\" that they were just weeds! You voice your inner feelings so well, and articulate a lot of things we\'re all struggling with, be it illness or just feelings of \"how can I make this world better?\" I\'m more hopeful when I read your writings, so yeah, let your light shine, it gives a lovely light :) (with apologies to Edna St Vincent Millet, I believe) :) xoxo Cassi
Millay, that is :)
You ARE of great value!!! Just writing, and sharing your thoughts helps ME, as I\'m sure it helps others.
Wonderful journal!! I want to be a strong, helpful, willing, productive dandelion as well!! And I too, want my feet to be in His path. I think if we can get there...we\'ll walk forward, and spread sunshine....His sunshine. I want to be used by Him for GOOD. I know that\'s what you are saying here....so beautifully!!!
I\'m with WhiteDolphin, we all love and VALUE you soooooo much. Never ever doubt that k? I know this is a struggle as you coccoon in your snuggly house with your furbabies....seclusion...you need participation / action / interaction... Do it. In 2013, do one little thing MORE. Then a bit more. Me too...we all have our stopid issues and self assessments. xxoo
