rebounding

i had tons of energy this morning and I was aware of it,

I wanted a mission, I didn't know how to structure it - I know it's my day off

from work - but work has me so geared up with exerting my force forward

that I was dreaming about work before i got up. I recognized that having

energy is natural and I just wanted and need to find a focus - I went to Starbucks,

I played with

Blue and then got myself into the shower. I did the dishes, made the bed,

got Blue's kitty litter sorted and took out the trash and recycling.

I struggled with what to do next - I seem averse to choosing -

I decided to go to the Vons and buy some water - then romped over to the Trader Joe's

and bought a week's worth groceries. I came home and put it all away.

Just ate a nice snack of cheese and fruit and finally decided to come on here.
I seem to have moments of clarity and reason about what I should be or could be doing

and then it gets lost 'underwater' if that makes sense. I'll sort it out.

Sounds like a very productive day. I used to feel like I had to be doing something all the time, and I'm not sure why. I then came to realize that it's okay to have down time, sitting still. I used to feel bad about watching tv during the day, and wouldn't turn it on until 7:00 PM. I now enjoy the 3rd Hour of Today with a cup of tea. It's the "shoulds" that get me if I'm not careful.

sometimes i make it my mission to find a mission. way back in 2019 when i was retired and spending entirely too much time alone, the nature of the missions i was on a mission to find had the theme of breaking isolation. like it or knot, people need people. here in the over-population of my second parenting career, the missions are more often geared toward getting my charges to let me have some of the alone time i had to much of in 2019. sigh. . . where's that account where i've been keeping all that time my time-saving devices have saved me?

yo. . . urchins. . . ya ever heard of, "a snipe hunt?"
your mission of the day is to find me a snipe.
