Reality Check
Things are going alright. Yesterday I had a bout of nervousness that came about
after I was at my parents' house. I struggled to find my footing and I kind of
upset my Dad a little bit. I think he's frustrated and concerned. I understand.
I am planning on finding a therapist to talk to. I know that I think my ideas and
self searching help me feel calm and strong at times - but then the struggle always comes
back - and it's at that time I need to remember to try and take care of myself - by reaching
out here on the site, or eventually, talk to the therapist. Hopefully the therapist will help
me be 'in tune' with coping skills and that will help me be more independent.
It's weird how I think I can grow at times but then come back to and find myself faced with my limits (because of the condition.)
I'd like to see this 'learning to be more independent' as an opportunity for me to achieve more in
my life - even so.

It seems like whenever I try and be more independent or consider it - that's when the floor drops out.
Hang in there Mark.....
thanks Chris.
It can be scary Mark. Hope you can find a good therapist who can help you with this.
thanks becky. I think I have found ways to help me cope when I am alone and doing nothing -- but I think when I get a whiff of doing something dynamic and independent out there...well I need practice how to do that.
