Yes, this is a tragic event for sure. Depression and addiction are a horrible combination. His daughter tweeted the most wonderful words though, from The Little Prince:

Robin Williams was a very talented and gifted person whom I am grateful I have been blessed to have been able to watch some of his programs.
Many people in charge have done me wrong and didn\'t care about what I was dealing with although I am very grateful for many more who have been sent from the Lord to encourage me when I needed it most, God is good to me when it mattered most of all. Friends have encouraged me when I needed it most although I have let friends down like all of us do.
The above is why I love to help out at Dollar General since I can be as caring a friend as I am able to, since I don\'t want others to hurt and knowing I have seen I can make a difference to others blesses my day when I needed that same encouragement.
Everyone has at least been discouraged at some time in there life, and yet I can\'t share how many have been depressed at least in some degree.
Romans 8:28 \"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose\".
I don\'t like any depression or feeling discouraged, but I have learned to have more compassion for those who are hurting because I have been hurt and needed to talk to a friend who cared, my relationship with Christ makes all of the difference since I need that help even more than Christian friends, and talking to girls who love Christ blesses my heart greatly.
I am sorry this is very long, I hope I encouraged someone.
