questioning some feelings

my therapist said to me that people with mood disorders and psychosis, if they stay alone

too long, they tend to start feeling 'alien.' That's pretty true for me - but the concept made me

think to question my feelings. If I didn't have people 'goading me on' in life, I think I would

stay home much of the time. I kind of talked about this yesterday in one of my journals.

It's only 2pm but I am already planning my end of day activities. Not good but at the moment

just feel like hunkering down here. Maybe I will go for a walk and walk to the Starbucks.

Welcome to Holland. I don't know what would make me feel accomplished or meaningful in my

day- I will frame that idea in what I plan to do. She talked about that idea as well. To have

a meaningful life...where do I find it?

It can be easier to just stay away from people, but knowing it's not good for us means we need to make sure not to be alone too much. I spend time with my family in the family room for a while most days, but then retreat to my bedroom. I also work, which really saved me from the isolation I felt when I move to MN 11 years ago. I also spend one day a week with friends and my SIL going out to lunch and stitching. I hope you can find enough to do to keep from isolating too much Mark.

In my personal isolation psychosis, I tend to feel invisible. I have even called invisibility, "My Superpower" more times than I care to admit. If They can't see me, They can't stop me. The feeling alien part comes in with the sort of people who find me during my "Invisible" periods. Did I fail to notice entering the space ship?

In my personal psychotherapy, I have gotten more benefit from responding to Life on Life's own terms than I have gotten from any of my elaborate master plans. Don't scheme. *Just* participate.
