questioning and resolving
....just to tell you what I am thinking about. Over the weekend and today a lot
goes on and I lose sight of the essentials at times... get lost in thought...and so....
I have to remind myself to be 'self responsible' with myself self management
and yet at times like' today and over the weekend' I find myself questioning myself.
I felt really small today - really myopic and yet part of me said - part of being self
responsible is to take care of yourself mentally AS well as the obvious other health issues.
So I came over to my parents' house and it was good to spend time. I felt small though and
I couldn't focus on what things mean - but I could focus on being considerate of others' feelings.
I think I need to learn to do both.
I guess we're all trying to find ways to feel good about ourselves - and that is something I struggle with... but I will focus on what things mean.
In college i was such a story teller when I would experience something - and I had a sense of humor...
Anyways, have a great week ahead. Thanks for being a great compatriots. It's going to be a good week!

Don’t beat yourself up. I hear you on the college memories. I think about what a spirited person I used to be back in the day and I feel it’s gone. But it’s not. It’s just that we are harder on ourselves now.
My aunts used to tell me when I was young and they were consoling me about silly petty things with friends, that when you’re older, you just don’t care what people think of you. It’s interesting to me that it feels like the opposite has occurred with me. I had confidence when I was younger but now I am so critical and careful and cautious due to my experiences. Can you relate to that?
Dunno. . . Inside my own skin, the drive to *Understand The Meaning* turned me into a loose cannon, rejecting everything and anything that I couldn't pigeonhole into one of my classifications. Letting go of that drive to *Understand The Meaning* and focusing on being considerate of others opened up a whole new world for me. Do I care *Why* the person in front of me is suffering? If I have the opportunity to offer comfort, whether I understand their suffering or knot, I have made the world a better place by offering comfort.
And it's okay to be small. Mice get to see far more of the world than elephants.
Thanks Arfie and Nikki! I can relate Nikki! Arfie it makes sense too!
In the process of learning that what other people think of us really does NOT matter, it just provides a clue to where they are in their thinking, the balance is working the 'me vs. my' thought process.
I learned that when I use the me vs. my thought process, I'm more able to think clearly about the feelings, emotions, words, and thoughts in those 'distress', 'stress' moments.
It's normal to pull inwards to double check our process.
thanks Mid!
