Quarterly scans

My good fortune held up for my October scans. The CT showed the slightest increase in size in my lymph node and the node in my lower left lobe. I had had a terrible sinus infection and a round of antibiotics and was told that the infection could have caused the inflamation. I prayed that was the case but was a little worried about my January tests. The MRI's of the abdomen and pelvis were fine. However that was not the case for my CT. I now have a second node in lower left lobe measuring 1.4x1 cm. The original node which was last measured 1. x 0.6cm was now 1.2 x 0.9cm. Lymph node 1.7x0.9cm. Needless to say I am scared to death. My very first cancer surgery was in 2006 with a second in 2007. Reoccurance in 2012 on remaining left kidney which has been treated with Sutent off and on. Prior to this last round of tests I had been off the Sutent for at least 6 weeks due to low counts. It makes it more difficult for the radiologist due to my being allergic to the CT dye. I am now scheduled for a PET scan on Jan. 29th. If cancer is found I will have biopsies done here at our local hospital. If malignancy is shown I will have to travel to another hospital about an hour and a half away for the Cyber Knife (radiation) treatment. We haven't discussed this in full but I believe I would have to have a few such treatments. I'm going to do some research on it so I will know in advance what I am facing before seeing my Oncologist again. I don't have a vehicle so all of my out of town appointments depends upon the schedule of a great volunteer who has been taking care of driving me for quite some time. I sincerely pray that all of you are experiencing better health and a full remission in the not too distant future.
