Pulling Out

I'm grateful Hubs and GS pulled in shortly after nightfall yesterday. For the most part, I do well when I am alone, but the solitude has been feeling like isolation since Sis left. I still don't have adequate words to describe the diffs between solitude and isolation, but the diffs are as real to my senses as the diffs between love and sex. A legacy of growing up in the back of a station wagon with 10 abused siblings is that I can isolate in a crowd and feel fully engaged in life when I am alone.

Hubs teased last night that he was here to take Sis's place. "Greedy wench that I am," I quipped, "I want all of you, just the way you are. I'm glad you are here, but there is no substitusky for any of you."

Miss you, Sis. This ranch feels way too lonesome without you.

triple hugs arfie, it is so hard missing people when they have to go off and pay attention to life details with out us in tow. For my own personal dictionary, I like to think the difference between isolation and solitude is simply that one is a choice and the other not so much.

what ever the connotations, hope you feel better about it soon triple hugs again~
