President's Day

Today I had the day off for the holiday, so I just lay around the house for a while. I didn't sleep the whole day away, just until about 1:30 or so. I had waken up before, but I just didn't want to get out of bed and I had nothing compelling me to do so. Tomorrow I'm going to see what time I wake up to see if I'm going to go into work. I have a sore throat and made soup for dinner tonight. I also made a batch of chocolate chip cookie dough for Geo to bake, since I'm the one who makes all that kind of stuff. I'm known for my baking. This isn't going to be a good batch, though, since the butter is old and tastes like the fridge. I ate a bit of the dough. I know you aren't supposed to, but I always do to make sure it's going to taste good. So I know this batch isn't going to be great, but that's okay. It's just for Geo and I. I wouldn't give away those cookies since I know they taste bad. Geo might not even notice it. I just have a taste for things like that.
I went for my long walk today. I did 2 miles in about 62 minutes. The first mile I did in 30 minutes, the second one in 33 minutes. It was a nice day out. I didn't want to walk as far as I did, but I pushed myself and did the 2 miles. I did sit for 2 minutes while walking since I was tired and there was a bench there. It was at the one mile mark, too, so I knew how far I had gone in what time. On my way back I was approached by 2 Mormons on their bikes. I didn't talk to them for very long. I told them I knew they were Mormons and I wasn't interested. They gave me a card with a website on it and went on their way. I was surprised at how easily they “gave up” so to speak. I told them I was an atheist and that pretty much did it. They got on their bikes and rode away. When I was in the cult I don't think I would have let someone go that easily when I was out to share my faith. Then again, I might have since I didn't know much about atheism.
I've just been tired most of the day. I think it's because I overslept. My mood has been better today than it has been over the past couple of days, and I even was reading a book today. I haven't felt like reading in a while. I don't know if it's because I read in bed and would rather be sleeping, or just don't have the energy to concentrate on a story. I picked a book that I know is fast paced and that I wouldn't want to put down- Cell by Stephen King. It fell behind the bed when I was trying to take a nap and I haven't had the time to retrieve it or the desire to. It just joined my collection of books by the bed that I started reading and didn't finish for some reason or another. I have a couple of book there that I want to read, but I have to be in the right mood for them. I just don't think about reading a lot any more... I have all this stuff to do online instead. I have emails to check, journals to read, comics to read, my journal to write... I don't have a lot of time online most days, so I just get what I can get done on any given day. I haven't checked my Google Reader in a bit, and I know there are stories piled up in there that I would want to read, but it's getting too late and I have to go to bed soon.
Mood today was somewhere between okay and good. I think I'm going to put it at okay, since I don't know how I'm going to feel tomorrow. I have to go to work, and I'm not looking forward to it. I almost hope I wake up with laryngitis so I don't have to go in. I don't like long weekends because then I don't want to go back to work when they are over. I get all depressed when I don't go to work, but then when it comes time to go to work I don't want to go. I wish I could get back at the Information Desk since I liked working there a lot, but I have a feeling that even there I wouldn't want to work there tomorrow. I may have to go get a sick mask from them if I'm still feeling sick.
Food today was good.. I was low on my calories, even with eating a cookie. I weighed myself today (shame on me, I was trying to go a week without it) and I was down again to 225 pounds. I want to get to under 224 by the end of the month. I think losing a pound in a week is a doable goal. I just want to be under 225 so each time I weigh I'm at a new current low. When I get to 222 pounds, it will be 30 that I've lost since May. I want to get to under 200 maybe by the end of the year. I have it currently set for May on Spark People, but I don't think that's going to happen. Then I have to re-evaluate how I look and feel and set a new goal. Maybe I will be happy there, who knows? My mom looks good at 190 pounds and she's shorter than I am.

Sounds like youre doing a bit better today with the depression...im sure getting out and walking will help alot. I know when my routine changes i have tough time getting back into it again. Hopefully after work tomarrow things will feel back to normal and youll start feeling alittle better each day. You are so knowledgable in how you feel and why and what maybe the causes thats amazing. For me when im depressed it is so hard for me to look at things in that way...good for you! Congrats for staying in your calorie range too threw it all that great....when im depressed i fall way below my calorie goal and then pay the price later for it.
