Prayers needed for people in the flooding areas of Australia
Personally, we are very lucky to not be in the areas either dealing with floods or expected floods but do have friends and family in Queensland areas hit by floods. It is such a sad start to the year for so many, both in terms of loss of homes, cars, boats etc and loss of lives, too. It is Australia's worst ever natural disaster and that includes Cyclone Tracy that flattened Darwin, cyclones, bush fires, droughts and flooding. In Queensland, an area the size of NSW is flooded - so hard to believe. Now several towns in northern NSW are cut off. Please include Australia and all the people whose lives have been devastated by these floods in your prayers and thoughts; also every member of the combined rescue forces which are doing an amazing job. I don't think anyone knows where this will end.
To any DS members in these areas, my prayers and thoughts that you, your friends and families are all safe. `

Count on me, Hon! My heart aches for all affected by this disaster. I\'m so glad to hear that you are safe.
Hugs
It\'s heartbreaking to watch the devastation. I\'m praying that especially the people of Brisbane and Ipswich are safe overnight. What is really good for the soul, is watching people drop what they are doing and helping out others in need. So many who could use help.... elderly, sick, etc. I\'m sad at the loss of animals and livestock who are stranded or perishing in flood water too. We\'ve been surrounded by floodwater twice in 12yrs - but so lucky the house and it\'s contents have been unaffected. Cleaning up after the water has gone is quite soul-destroying - silt takes such a lot to clear, most times you can only but throw the item away. God be with you all.
Dear Angel, I will give special prayer to this terrible situation in your homeland. I feel so sorry for all those who have to experience such devastation of their homes and lives. Sadly, it seems no one really can escape some kind of suffering. You\'ve helped me come out of my self-centered focus today and realize that I am not alone in experiencing pain and loss. Love, Linda
Dear Angel, I\'m so thankful that you and your family are OK. I\'ll certainly keep all the people and rescue workers, as well as the animals in my prayers!
Love & hugs,
Lois

Hi Angel, Glad you are OK!! I am concerned about friends there. Kooralbyn, QLD. Last I heard they were OK. On a hill top. Prayers are going up Val
Thank you all so much, my dearest friends. We have been able to locate our family and friends in Queensland and, thankfully, all are safe.
So many people have lost everyything and now other towns and states are on flood warnings. The Rescue teams have mounted the most incredible operation that has been seen here. Brisbane, capital city of Queensland has been compared to a war zone with thousand of evacuees left homeless. )Please keep your prayers coming for Australia.
Val, thank you so much for your thoughts. I hope your friends are safe. Lovely to meet you
Angel
