prayer request.......thanks guys!

Late morning greetings.........
There is a lot of clatter coming from the upstairs.  Too early for Santa, so I'm thinking that little boy Rio Cat is doing something wrong.......adventurous, fun, but wrong.  Usually it involves something breakable and a flying insect.........a couple of years ago something like this happened, when upstairs to investigate and I was soooooo surprised.  Annie was doing battle with a .............FROG.  It was trying to climb the wall in the corner and live.  I rescued the frog and set it free........still want to know,  but don't want to know how that frog got in the upstairs bathroom.  Random........life WILL surprise ya.
I talked to my sister Carol last night.......straight up asking for prayer, positive thoughts for her, big life changes are coming.  Her mate of many years announced that he is moving, divorcing her.......and this will be happening mid-to the end of October.  We spoke for hours.........she is such a love.
Carol has had a life of challenge with bipolar illness.  3 years ago last July she was in a near fatal car crash in Phoenix .......we almost lost her.  She surprised everyone with an amazing will to live, to relearn how to walk and talk and heal and hope.........and we are so glad she is with us. A bright spirit emanates from her, beyond the darkness of the illness and physical challenges she has........she is such a joyous woman, an amazing sense of humor.  Hard to explain all these feelings, feel tears coming.......
She lives with a traumatic brain injury and deals with the pain of the results of a multitude of other physical injuries from that event.  She struggles with bipolar and the meds also add to the mix............& now her mate of many years announced he is leaving her.  My niece & fam (also in Phoenix area) is opening up her home.....it is a big change, HUGE for Carol and all concerned.  It also uproots my nephew.  He has been living at home with Carol & hubby while he attends college.  He has to move closer to school --- begin a life independent of living at home.  Trying to sort things out, support Carol........got a long message from my niece and she is asking for emotional help and support for everyone to get through this.  Carol will be adjusting from a large 4 bedroom home with all her own furnishings, the familiarity of that life to having a bedroom within Jamie & Co. home.  Adjusting to everything for everyone........Jamie says she can manage the physical efforts, but is concerned about the anxiety and stress for her Mom and for herself.  She is working to get power of attorney transferred from hubby to herself asap........to get things that need to be done handled.
Carol cried for four days and then she told herself enough ---- now she is in this cool quiet semi detached place emotionally.  I am praying for her........concerned for her and need to hand this over to God to attend to.  To ease her heartache, to help her transition.  This mood she is in may be alright, but it may be a prelude to a really rough patch for her.  We spoke for 5 hours last night.  We need to infuse her life/their lives with prayer, support, encouragement .......Jamie said I almost lost my Mom too soon and I need her so much.........want to help her have the support she and we all need to do this.   So proud of Jamie........in her message she said some very powerful things.......beautiful, moving and brave...........so often we hear talk of worry about the future based on what we see of the younger generation.......if everyone faces life with the love, grit and determination that Jamie has.......things will get done, get handled and love will be the defining strength at the core.
I am so grateful to be able to talk with all of you via Daily Strength, to have this option as a daily resource --- I wish my sister could, God is providing other avenues for her..........
.................come on by, after while i'm gonna scramble some eggs and might even spring for an "everything bagel"  They are super thin and have a big yum factor, warm and crunchy........made by Thomas (the english muffin folks).  They are also good fiber, low fat, lower calories and other good stuffs.
I could slice some pears and we could sit on the patio.  Say we do this after I take a nap, I'm tuckered.  Blessings on your Sunday........prayers coming your way.  I do some of my best praying lying down where it's cool and quiet........hugs........the gentle kind.  xo.
P.S. if you didn't get to the other day.......check out the pianoguys link i posted yesterday, it is a joymaker.

Prayers and love for Carol, what a tough thing BUT in 6 months, she\'ll look back on this and say \'it was the best thing that ever happened, it lead me down a new, exciting/scary path\'. It sounds like she has you and other family for tons of love and support and good for her to stop and say enough. Maybe Carol should join DS and find even more love and support here, eh?

I\'d love to come over and visit on your patio....you need to post some pics so I can pick my chair :) ..... Love the piano guys.... xxoo

Thanks Rusters............I sent you a hug note before I saw your comment. Carol would benefit from a DS like environment...........she is not able to type, read............(she can hit the keys, but it doesn\'t come out correctly, she can read, but the words/letters invert and scramble similar to the way someone with dyslexia might see the written word)

Hard, but not impossible for an other wise healthy person to find ways to compensate, tricks to help. It is very difficult for her to process & function on a computer, to read her mail, to deal with anything written and often she forgets the basic steps of how to do things. (She has picture notes everywhere in her home. The bathroom mirror for example, has picture instructions in big letters to remind her to brush her teeth, wash her face, go feed the dogs, etc.)

The traumatic brain injury has created the equivalent of some severe learning disabilities and it distorts her comprehension in certain ways. Talking is her forte and she is a delight to talk to........! I\'m hoping that she can become a part of a group in her area for those living with TBI and other challenges. She needs a computer program that would work with her unique needs.

Being with family, around grand babies.........being in a loving non-toxic family environment will be healing and helpful to her definitely. All of our family need to help and support her & her daughter\'s family to adjust and adapt to the changes.

When we were talking we talked of serious things and also shared a lot of giggles and laughter. At one point she released a deep sigh and said, \" I may not be very good marriage material.......(I\'m thinking she is about to be very sad ....... cry........but no, not my sister). She said, \"If I do decide to throw my hat back in that arena I\'m going big next time........Jon Bon Jovi or John Cougar Mellencamp. No more messing around with the boy next door........I\'m gonna go big or stay home.\"

I love that she is outrageous.......and so proud that she is gutsy.

She is an amazing funny, surprising, courageous gutsy woman ......... facing life despite fears, worries. She is also generous....she said if Jon Bon Jovi is happily married he could simply adopt her, she could be very flexible............which made me giggle......she is such a crack up. So I said,\" I think we should make a scrapbook promoting you ........you know like prospective parents make for pregnant girls seeking open adoption. It could be all about you, pictures and special moments of how cute and utterly adorable you are...................she ended up with the hiccups. laughed too hard......

Sisters for ever and always........one part idiot, one part mega loyal, big parts of faith and lots of time for prayer..........

I surely will pray for Carol, Ruthie! And I know that God has a plan for her. He doesn\'t make mistakes! I\'m wondering, but don\'t need to know why her mate made this decision after all this time??? Hmmmmmm! Well, we know that we can leave this whole situation at the Mercy Seat and believe that God will guide your sister and her family in this whole moving situation.

Yes, it\'s a lot for someone with her physical and emotional problems to face. I will surely pray!!

Prayers being said for Carol, Jamie, you nephew and the rest of your family here ! I am sure that with the support she has from such a wonderful daughter, son and of course sister she will make it through this tough time. Changes take a while for us to process, to really get our heads around, I just hope it doesn\'t take Carol too long to adjust.
Hugs

How sad it must be for Carol to not only have to deal with paion and bipolar then to have her husband leave. Her world is upside down and her heart is broken. I won\'t say anything about her husband. @^&$#*($^@#%+)*%=*$%^^ Is what I think. Heartless. I will add her to my prayer list right next to you. Hope you had a good Sunday too!! Pass on the eggs. We had blt\'s, tomatoes form the garden. I don\'t like bacon but I do put chez on mine. NJ xo
