prayer: on seeing 2 sides to ourselves
I woke up late this morning..710am!
I was so relaxed when I got up - not a hard start - and then went
about the business of starting the day. I cleaned the kitty litter,
threw my old clothes in the wash- brushed my teeth and hopped in the shower.
I ate some cheerios - and was all dressed and done with washing the dishes
and I decided to give myself a Labor Day splurge to get a coffee..
I won't get another until pay day.
The title of this post comes down to what happened on the drive over
to the coffee shop...I have been doing really well lately I believe - and my mind was bright and alert
this morning, while driving...and then for some reason I saw an obnoxious, petty side to myself.
I felt like... it was the real me...and I felt the impulse of not being able to accept that....
But I got my coffee and then came home...Was sitting here at the laptop at the kitchen counter
and read a post that was questioning self value in the face of flaws. Just thinking
on that post - slowly I started to remember different cases where many of my friends have
questioned themselves when things like that have come up... It was a wonderful post to read- right
at the nic of time...I sent a prayer upward for the strength and compassion to accept myself
and see the 2 sides to the 'selves that we have'...I thought about the intellectual and the spiritual...
and now I am just getting on with my day.. Blue is super bored so I am entertaining him.
Finishing the last of my coffee and I'll make lunch soon.
I hope you guys are having a good Labor Day! Sending prayers of peace, and self acceptance
and spiritual blessings.

You only have two sides to yourself? You lucky dog. . . I feel more like a crystal with multiple facets which reflect different images of a single reflection. Shift the crystal ever so slightly and the reflection upon every facet changes radically. Oh how I envy dualistic simplicity. Right/wrong. Good/bad. Up/down. Light/dark. Never any shades in between. Keep it simple sweetie.
What if I learn to quit judging and simply let it be? ^It^ is what ^it^ is, however we choose to judge ^it^.
thanks Arfita! This was helpful to me as it helped me not judge - but put in the framework of the shared humanity!
Sending abrazos.
