Praise God

Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes.  I feel we have experienced a miracle.  When my DH had the surgery for basil cell carcinoma the Surgeon told us that he didn't feel he was able to remove all of the cancer.  It was too close to the main artery and some nerves with which he couldn't take a chance to encounter.  He said that DH would probably need a 2nd surgery with general anesthetic to see if they could get it that way.  Needless to say, we weren't feeling very encouraged.  This AM, DH had follow up appt to have stitches removed and results of pathology report.  The Surgeon told us that he did indeed get almost every single bit but just a tiny microscopic fringe area.  Since this type of cancer does not spread of metastecize that we were ok and the only reason that any further action would be needed is if the cancer returns.  This type occasionally returns.  He will have periodic check ups with the surgeon.  DH has a slight infection so he prescribed a topical antibiotic and we will see Surgeon again on Friday.  Compare to what were initially told, this indeed is a miracle and a blessing.  Thank you again for your prayers.  They were all most helpful.  Our God is an awesome God.  I was so afraid of being totally alone in life but I have been blessed with having my husband in good health - hopefully for a long time.  So, do believe in miracles.  They do happen and God does answer prayers.  Feeling so much better.  Right this minute ES isn't even on the top priority list.
