Potty humor

Today I am going to share an experience that was brought to mind by a word that another member suggested be added to the dictionary – crapolicious.  This has nothing whatever to do wish CFS, but it is a pretty accurate portrait of my family dynamics.
A few years ago on the Thanksgiving weekend, both of our older kids were home for the holiday.  That Saturday found us all sitting around the table with my sister and brother-in-law playing a spirited game of cards.  Although I knew all the ribbing was in good fun, I found myself becoming more and more irritated by the language.  There were almost constant comments flying around the table like, “Who dealt this sh*t ?”  “These are really cr*ppy cards.” “This whole hand is a pile of cr*p.”  Now I’m usually not a very forceful person, but suddenly I shot to my feet, slammed my hand on the table, and said, “This is MY table in MY house, and I did not raise you kids to talk like that.  I do NOT want to hear the words sh*t or cr*p anymore!”  There was stunned silence for a full minute after I sat down.  That was so out of character for me. Then, while Don was quietly dealing out the next hand, my brother-in-law turned to my son and said, “So, Matt, are you gonna go out with your friends tonight and get feces-faced?”  Everyone burst out laughing and from then on, they all found opportunities to say things like, “Who dealt this fecal matter?”  “These cards are nothing but excrement.”  “That play was just feces.” 
And that’s not all.  On Christmas I opened a present that contained a tee-shirt.  Emblazoned across the front were the words FECES HAPPENS.
Oh, well.  That’s my family and I love them anyway.
