POSITIVE
First day was good. The meals are fine. They started me low so it's really simple actually, just like I have been eating at home. Today for lunch i'm having vegetable lasagna and dinner some fish. Rumor has it the fish is good here. Actually dinner last night was good. So ya...no worrying on THAT part yet...yet is the key word.
Yesterday I met with a zillion doctors. This morning I met my psychiatrist, had my blood drawn from a phlebotimist, and had like a 5 minute physical by a medical doctor. Apparently I have the best psych here...he was really nice. I like Ceaser better but he shall do. I think he is going to transfer me to the meds that Ceaser suggested. BUT...he did say that he wants to call Mitchell too....eeeeek, I told him that I hadn't told mitchell I switched...eeeks. He also left a message with Joanna.
It's actually not that bad here, I feel comfortable. It was also really easy to become comfortable and easy for me to participate because two people I met at Renfrew are here. So it's nice knowing someone!! There is a large nursing staff which are really nice. It's really easy to go up and ask for things etc. At SP I was scared to death of them. These ones actually get to know us and sit in on activities and such.
Last night was nice because there is only one other inpatient and I have my own room. Yes bathrooms are locked here and there are specific breaks, but at least you have privacy and can flush your own toilet. But once the day people leave it's just us two and we can watch tv/movies, play a game, internet, use the phone. And since there are not many people here (I think 12...1 new person for PHP just came in and 2 people are being discharged today). I had my first real group today, CBT. We did 'an interview with our eating disorder''. I didn't find it really worth anything because I have a lot of insight to my eating disorder and I am very aware of it. So we had to have other people ask us questions, but we had to respond as though we are our eating disorder. It was really hard for some people because they have never used that kind of perspective before, but it was not very challenging for me. This afternoon I have a nutrition group and a music therapy group.....not sure how that is lol. Oh they are all in expressive art therapy right now, but the art room is downstairs and since I'm new I'm on a 24hr watch and can't leave the unit. BOOOO. Hence why I am on the computer right now. We also have fitness this afternoon and I was put on level 2. Most people start on 1. level 1 means you have to sit outside. Level 2 means you can walk, stretch and do yoga :) :)
Well it's almost lunch time and the others should be coming back soon. Oh, my psychiatrst also said he is going to give me little 'assignments' each day which I like. Apparently others hate it but i think it is really good. So today I am supposed to write a short autobiography of my life. Which is frustrating and annoying because I have done this sooooo many times before. Oh well. I told him I have done it, but if he wanted me to again I wouldn't have a problem and will do it. Others say they refuse to do the assignments.
I'm feeling positive and in a good mood today. Sleepy because I didn't sleep well.
Oh here's a secret. So you're not supposed to have any sheets from home (aka my raggie and blankie count as sheets) so when they were checking my bags I broke down of course. But then got an idea! I kept talking and was making jokes etc and she FORGOT about my blankie and raggie by the end so i have them both :) :) Also I'm only supposed to have one stuffed animal, but yet again she FORGOT so I have two :) :) Yes they are hidden in my drawer during the day :) :)
Okay that's all for now, my hands are tired.
