Pool All to Myself!
Today I went swimming, and I had the pool all to myself. It was wonderful. No worries about dodging screaming kids, no teenagers trying to do jumps off the ladder and looking like they are going to kill themselves, just me and the water. I was able to swim more than I did yesterday, and my legs are a bit sore still. That or it's from the 50 squats I did today as part of the challenge I'm doing on Spark People. Every week there is a new challenge for 8 weeks. This week is leg exercises, last week it was doing something for exercise that you don't normally do. Other weeks has been arm exercises, minutes of cardio, etc. It's been a pretty regular day... Woke up at noon, ate breakfast, went on the computer for a while, went swimming, came back and lay down for a bit then got back on the computer. Then I cooked dinner and back on the computer. See a trend here lol?
Mood today was good... I was glad to have the pool to myself and I even lay out a bit to get a bit of a tan. I'm light skinned, so I only lay out for 10 minutes. I don't want to burn. It was also kinda overcast, so that helped. It was just nice to lay in peace. Had I known, I would have brought a book or something. Food today was good... in my calorie range still. I'm close to the max, but I just had some peanut butter crackers (which took me close to the max) so I should be good for the night. I want more, though, they taste so good! I've been kinda eating all day, so I have to be careful. I weighed this morning and I'm down to 214.5. One more pound and I'll be back at my low. Sleep last night was good... I got about 12 hours and I felt fine. I was chatting with my friend Anita till almost midnight. It was fun talking to her, though. I hope I can introduce her to my friend Andrea soon!
I'm still in a bit of pain with my hips, but it's going away slowly. The swimming helps. Walking to the pool is hard, but being in the warm water helps. Plus, it's exercise I can do with my shin splints. I think I'm going to try and swim again tomorrow.
