POOPED!
Wed. night, Aug. 13, 2008: I am pooped. I have been doing more the past few weeks than I have done in over a year. Today, until the 19th, was my last commitment. I am not making any more! Except, Craig and I may go camping this weekend, weather permitting. That, however, is just us and in our 5th wheel. It is relaxing, too. A friend of Scott's came over tonight and I gave him one of Scott's shirts. We started talking about Scott and some of his high school antics. Apparently one of them made the DO NOT DO list for Freshmans. As I have said before, Scott was onery. Not in a mean way. One day at school in his Jr. year, I believe, he was standing outside the cafeteria door right before the bell rang. He spotted a janitors broom and thought, "HMMMM?" He put the broom through the handles of the door and the bell rang. As the students started to charge out of the cafeteria...THUNK! No one could get out. Of course he got in trouble but he said it was worth it and even the Asst. Principal could barely keep from laughing. (It was all caught on camera) I laughed, too. But then, of course, I had to be a parent and talk about the dangers, being disruptive in school, etc. I still think it is funny......typical high school stuff. I went to lunch today with a friend of mine. We were hospital room-mates when I had Chris. She is really nice but somewhat of a hypochondriac. (sp?) For most of the two hours she talked about all the illnesses she thought she had, does have, and the meds she takes. I told her I think she thinks too much! I can only be with her once in a while. Anyway, it was all okay but I was exhausted when lunch was over. Most of my friends are very positive people. The trip to Silver Dollar City with Tristen was tons of fun. He went on lots of rides he has never been on before. At one point, however, we lost him. I thought he was going with his Grandma and she thought he was staying with me. I knew he couldn't have gotten far 'cause it wasn't that long of a time period. We called security but his Grandma found him playing in the ball room. I knew he wouldn't do anything bad but I was worried about the dangers. Mostly I was worried about him realizing he was not around anyone he knew. His Mom was not happy when Grandma told her. She told me it should not have happened. I told her she was right and no one felt worse about it than me. It gave me pause, though. I don't think I will take him out again without his mom around. The liability is just too much and even though it is my personal time and not school related, I think, if something happened, it could cause problems with my job. I love my job and am not willing to put it at risk. In any case, it was a good day, everything turned out okay, and the weather was perfect! Tomorrow (today) I am just going to hang around the house. I am not kidding...I am REALLY tired! I hope to float in the pool and nap a bit. I also want to finish straightening things in my utility room. Nothing very exciting and I am very good with that!
