Plodding along
I brought one of the sisters to her medical appointment at John's Hopkins this morning. I'm here in the cafeteria having a Diet Pepsi whike waiting for her to be done. While driving her into the city we talked and I just kind of put myself in her shoes. At first I thought about me having my own problems and proclivities and I thought that she has them too for herself. She still plods along as I do. I thought about how each of us had our own traumatic histories that has shaped and formed us. I thought about how we come together and share humanity still. I thought about the election and how today as I any other we have to put that aside and we just have to keep on keeping on, plodding along.
My instinct is to call my Dad to see how he's doing and to commiserate about the election, but I realize he has his own issues too, he too is plodding along.
I feel safe here with my monastic life and duties. Like I am learning to manage myself well and fulfill my purpose and also have a secure place and community.
Maybe I feel a bit under developed in terms of my full potential but I am learning and growing and making the best of each day. I am also starting to fully actualize the fulfillment of my own needs rather than stay too hung up on my woeful moments. Moments like these are another opportunity to plod along and keep on keeping on.
Have a good day ahead you guys!!

Each day brings a balance of its own. Here's to you finding what works in the moment!
don't accuse me of experting, but i do believe we (royally speaking) leave this life a bit underdeveloped. great works of art are never finished. there is always some point which can benefit from further development, time permitting.
for what it's worth
a bennie i find in voting for the losing side is that i will have plausible deniability for any disasters which await in 2028.
Thanks Mid and Arfie!!
