PLEASE READ! Very Unhappy At My Little Sister....Yes....Again....I Know...A Time Old Tale....
Okay, I have some more complaining to do about my little sister, so first I will say some good things about her. She's cute as a button, she is always there for her family, regardless or what it is, she has a good sense of humor, she loves her son to peices, and she isn't afraid to be herself where ever she is.
Now for the whining.
So she started dating this guy, Jaron, about two months ago now. In the start, before I met him, she told me he had to travel to Edmonton for a court date in about three or four months. I asked her for what and she told me it wasn't her place to tell me, that if he chose to he would. Fine. I can totally understand that, it's a private matter for sure. So I thought nothing of it.
I met Jaron. He seemed okay, but a little bit immature. He drinks alot, as does she now. I also met his mom, and the woman actually looked down her nose at me! I mean, lifted her head, raised her nose, and peered down it at me. And if anything, I'm the more presentable of my sister and I! She has tattoos and peircings everywhere. I went to pick my daughter up at Jaron's moms, since my sister was watching her and had stopped in there, and the woman answered the door with a 'yes?' and when I told her who I was and what I was there for she just walked away leaving the door open. And then once I switched my daughters carseat from my sisters car to ours I had to return her keys so I knocked on the door again, and his mom answered, peeked down her nose and said 'oh, you again??'
Anyways...so about a week ago, about a month and a half into the relationship, Jaron's dad buys my sister a car. Not a brand new one, but a new car regardless...for a couple of grande. So she's constantly flaunting this car.
As his court date gets closer they start doing all thses things for her. They take her for supper, they buy her booze, on and on and on.
Then my neice comes over and we are talking and she mentions that, while hammered, Jaron told her and her boyfriend, Colton, what he was going to court for. She was nervous to tell me but said that I needed to know, just not to tell Tilly that it was her I heard it from.
Well apparentley his court date is because he got busted trying to convince an 11 year old girl to send him nude photos!!!
So Tilly didn't want to tell me, and age 2 and age 11 are years apart, but she watched my daughter with him present. And all extenuating circumstances apart, I don't want my daughter any where near him without me firmly present. So now I've been thinking of reasons Marlow can't spend time there, without telling my sister that I know about Jaron.
AND....the other day, she comes over to pick up Julian, and tells me Jarons parents are buying a trailer a few blocks from my place for her. That his dad is buying it but putting all the ownership papers in her name. And that it's a redone, pimped out trailer.
Really???? A car and a house within two months??? It smells reallllllly fishy to me...and I'm worried about all of it.
Jaron will most likely be in prison for over a year after his court date, and his parents are getting Tilly all this stuff. And since we grew up with naught, she has always been a bit shallow about physical things and monetary things. So she can be bought I think.
I need some input, what do I do? Do I say anything about Jaron? Do I bring up the buying her thing? She gets really defensive if I try.

Plus, his parents refuse to meet her family, saying it\'s too early, but not to early to buy her a house and a car? Plus, they want her to spend Christmas with them, and her birthday, and Thanksgiving...and New Years Eve etc. They told her they will buy all her alcohol for New Years Eve, and she and Julian will get great gifts if she goes there for Christmas.....
I\'d have a really hard time not saying anything. If she is ok with what he did and ok with being bought then that is in her...but if it starts getting tricky with your daughter and having to make excuses then I would just tell her you found out. They won\'t know from who since they were drunk when they told your niece.
He told our neice, and my sister knows he told her and that she is the only one who knows :(
It sounds to me like they are setting her up so SHE can take care of Jaron and they won\'t have to worry about him anymore. I probably would not allow my daughter over there anymore.... though this is not an easy situation because I\'m sure you don\'t want to loose your sister. But is your sister really going to wait around for this guy for a year while he is in jail???? Hope this goes easy for you...and it works itself out.
