Pile it on
Does anyone else feel this way??? I think after what I have been through I should be able to cruise through the rest of my life...why do I still have problems??? I have been through the fires of hell...don't I deserve a break??? Apparently not, life goes on. Problems that existed before still exist and more...sigh.
Been binge watching old episodes of "Friends"...it makes me happy...brings back happy times. The 90's the best time era of my life but I had no idea of it at the time. I took it all for granted and expected it to last forever. I hope I don't die feeling this way. I hope good times will come again, I hope I will still have memories to make.
I have so much to be grateful for...just feeling a bit sorry for myself right now.
Something is wrong with my DS account...I am no longer getting e-mail notifications when someone writes a journal entry. Does anyone know how to fix it???

Nah Gina, the shit still rolls downhill. I ask myself the same questions every day. My ex husband is suing me to take money from me that I won in a settlement in my loss of consortium lawsuit oh so many years ago. Costing me hundreds of dollars an hour. I get no peace. All other problems, I try to turn them on their sides and examine the for what they are. I bought a book called...If Life is a Game - These are the Rules. The predominant theory being....we all have lessons to learn and each time a problem = lesson presents itself to us we need to see it for what it is overcome it and LEARN the lesson. If we DO NOT learn the lesson that same problem will continue until we learn the lesson. I have found my self watching a lot of Frasier lately. I didn\'t watch it when it was on...but I find it quite funny now. If I want to feel that Matt is with me - I have stand up comics from the 80\'s and some from the 90s we used to love to watch those together. We had little one liners that we could throw out at each other - people didn\'t know what we were talking about......like Chris Rock and the CLEAR heels.....good times will come slowly and watch for them and give yourself permission to have them. It is okay to enjoy your life.
I have no idea how to fix computer problems. I am next to computer illiterate!
I can remember thinking that I was the luckiest person when I was in my 40s. I had a job I loved and a family I adored. Since Lisa died, life has been a roller coaster. A lot of downs. My sister and her family have pretty much written me off . They are a big dysfunctional family who constantly squabble!
I think it is just fine to feel sorry for yourself. Wishing your roller coaster to go up again!!
Tight hugs, M
Double check your profile settings to insure that you are set up for notices.
DS has had problems with this before, so it also could be a problem with them.
Gina I have felt the same as you--enough heartache for the rest of my life...But life has many high ups and low downs...I have had my fair share of them myself and am somehow still standing,
I feel the same way!! When do I get to enjoy anything again?? I have been binge watching \"Christley knows best\" and The Young and the restless. Sometines playing candy crush on face book. Anything, to keep from thinking about things that cause pain and make me cry.
One day at a time is all I can handle right now...
(((HUGS))), Julia
This year it was the \"new year\" that drove me over the edge. I\'m still in this funk and pray for better days ahead. I thought I was \"all better\", then BAM!! It\'s normal but it sucks! Other than that I have no problems to speak of, just the problem of being a grieving mom.....
Go to my account under my profile and the settings are there.
I think some people think this is the \"let down\" after the holidays. Life seldom goes completely smoothly and it often does seem that after losing a child, things should have mercy on us for awhile - but there is always \"something.\" This is the best place to get that \"something\" off your chest. There are real ups and real downs after losing a child. We look back to before that happened and it is only natural to forget how good we had it! (It is also easy to forget what problems we had back then.) Gratefulness is a great attitude to try to strive for, but we are only human...
Sending hugs,
Leda
Yes, I have felt that way and our family would joke that the dump truck of life packed up in our driveway and just started unloading!
Desiring a moment of pause in the midst of watching Friends or times such as this keep us going. Nothing huge, just enough to balance the teeter totter of life when we can.
Gentle care dear Gina and YOU are not alone in any of these feelings.
Heartfelt (((hugs))) of care,
XO Joanie
\"backed up.\" Oy, I will learn to proofread and not be so lazy. lol!
Hugs and hugs Gina. I am not complaining, but I never had much time for taking time for myself. I am amazed at how I did it LOL. I had to return to a full time job 2 weeks after my son died. It is what it is. I would go outside and cry on the \'wall\" and go back inside and do my job. Someday, when I get time ,I would like to watch the \"Friends\" series. I hear they are very funny and entertaining. But just got off tonight at 9 pm and go back at 9 am so wow, got to get to bed! I live for a day off HAHA
I think we have all thought the same thing...haven\'t we had enough. I\'ve learned that everyone and I mean everyone has problems. We just don\'t see what goes on behind closed doors and some are better at keeping things to themselves. There is quote by Regina Brett that says if everyone threw their problems in a pile and we saw everyone else\'s, we\'d grab ours back. I hope this is a better year for you and keep watching, reading or doing things that bring smiles. You deserve to smile. Much love. Robin
I do hope your year improves. I believe in the post holiday dumps, plus I have Mike\'s Birthday at the end of this month. So after that I hope things get going with a little more sunshine on my side. Keep your chin up and try to find something that will bring joy to your life.
Sending tight hugs
Penny
