Phone call from my Brother.
This happened about 11 am Wednesday.
(ring, ring) I answer
Me: Hello?
Brother: Kevin
Me: *non committal grunt or "yeah," I don't remember which but it is usually one of those.
Brother: I need help hanging some curtains.
Me: Over at Hedda's house?
(This is where my brother has been doing some work on one of my father's tenants of which he gets the rent money on which to live.)
Brother: Yeah
Me: What time?
Brother: What?
Me: What time do you need me there?
Brother: Oh. Not now, I dont have my tools or the things I need. I'm not ready, yet. Maybe in a coule hours. I'll call you.
Me: Ok. (I wait a few seconds and hear nothing more so I hang up.)
Me after phone is hung up: ARRRGGGHHH!!!! Why are you calling me to do something you aren't ready to do and say that you are going to call me later. He thinks this is considerate somehow.
He calls back a few hours later and says that he called over there and she wasn't home so wanted to know if I was busy tomorrow. I told him I was in the afternoon so could help in the morning. So I'm to go over there at 10 am tomorrow. I wonder if he will even show up.
From now on, I'm not going to agree to do anything with or for him unless he is ready and waiting for me to show up. I'm tired of him calling to get me to wait around till he is ready and wanting to do something. It makes me all stressed out anticipating a call that may never come and wondering if I can go out for something or not or need to wait for it. I know I don't have to wait on it but it stil makes me all anxious about it. I've told him not to do this before. He doesn't listen or again just doesn't care.

he could have waited until he called her THEN called you to let you know what was up. And is she going to be home in the morning? Seems like he did not say that she had agreed on tomorrow? I guess just show up and then if he does not show up then you are good to go home. I really feel for you, this is like an impossible situation. it WOULD be very aggravating. Can you just not be available for his calls and go about your day and let him worry about contacting you? I dont know any answers but I think that is what I would do- but then again I am not in this situation either. Again I really really feel bad for you and the anxiety this causes U. Family-can be very stressful and yet you sometimes cant just cut all ties so u have to deal with them.
