perfecting? or just dealing with the situation
a therapist a long time ago suggested I was trying to perfect myself.
I really didn't agree with her - but I suppose I was trying to grow and give my best.
I was talking to my current therapist about it yesterday and for now I suppose
I need to just deal with the situation and not worry about things being just so.
Just came back from work, and feel kind of beat up but so it goes...I'll change clothes
and go to the office soon. I left a message for my therapist - it's nice to have social contact if but just that
and not just robot through the day. I feel like this is a message in a bottle.
peace and namaste,
M

Big hug sweetie..... I agree that perfection doesn't exist other then at a Godly level so we'd drive ourselves crazy trying
My old landlord was a perfectionist and he was painting a tiny bedroom upstairs at his place... A year later he was still painting the damned room because he couldn't find the perfection he was seeking.... Meanwhile the room what is a state of disarray all that time
I hope that you have a good day at the office LC...… xo
Thanks Jan!!x
Perfection... I am a broken person from bipolar and my health. I just try to survive from day-to-day. The TDoc is working but sitting there I can see how far I have fallen. I need grace from my wife for my sins.
keep strong Thor.
I could call you, "A Perfectionist" if the label wasn't so out-dated. I can't remember the last time somebody called me a perfectionist. These days I call ^it^, "Control Freakitis." Most of my shrinks call ^it^, "Over-compensating." By whatever name, when I can keep ^it^ balanced and non-judgmental, there lives acute and highly useful benefits to the attention to detail behind ^it^. Who am I to declare what is "Perfect?" I only get to work with what life sends me. Emphasis on, "Get to."
Thanks Arfie
Thanks. I can see the truth of it but can not take it into my soal. I can want to longer be broken. To hold my head up instead of cowering in fear and pain. How do you get unbroken?
Keep putting one foot in front of the other. You will have good moments and bad moments but if you keep on keeping on you will eventually have better moments and find a crack of sunshine to your days. You will find some dignity again. Peace
I'm just trying to lose weight.
and you're doing it! Way to go!!
