Peace I give to Thee, my peace.
This past year has been a very strange and yet growing one. It was last year at the beginning of May that our ES walked out on us and never looked back. The grief process is difficult but one we must travel to come to peace and acceptance. It takes all we have and all the trust and love of our God to get us through it. I feel that I have finally come to the place of acceptance. It doesn't mean that I have forgotten ES and GC but learned to live my life and enjoy each day the way the Lord would want.
We moved at the end of the year and decided to buy the condo we were renting and enjoy our lives. God has blessed us with a son who has a life of his own and only God will be able to do anything about him. We have a negotiated agreement that we can see each of the 3 older children (all 3 about once a month) each on the weekend of their birthday and a couple days each at Christmas. They know how much we love them and are old enough at 14, 12, 10 to know that we will always have open and welcoming arms for them. We also know that nothing will destroy their love for us although the GF of our ES certainly have tried.
DH and I have decided it is the time in our lives to just enjoy our life together, do some traveling and just be blessed with our marriage. We took a trip to TX since Christmas and are enjoying each day as it comes. I have put all my pain, worry and anxiety into God's hands. There is nothing I can do, but He can do whatever He chooses is right for us and for them. I still pray daily for God to open the eyes and heart of our ES and to take care of ES and GC. Peace is a wonderful place to be. Oh, I do regress at times and the pain can still be felt but I have made the choice to let God reign and give us His peace. Praying for each of you that you will come to peace in Him.
I definitely will try to be on here more often as I want to help others in any way that I am able and God leads me. Love and prayers for each of you

I do want each of you to know that we have to go through the entire grief process but God is leading us step by step. There will be a time of acceptance and peace. God bless you on your journey and trust in Him.
This is wonderful and so encouraging to hear. I have been where you are, then I\'m not, then I am....but it\'s getting better. I retired, and my husband and I are having a good time together. We\'re spending a lot of time together, and with family and friends who do love us. I still struggle with the God loves me and cares about me thing, but I am not giving up my faith. Thanks for sharing this entry.
