passions and the people you work with

I've come to understand that having an understanding of

my feelings and dark stuff at times under the name heading of 'passions'

can be really useful. It helps me contextualized my stuff and others' stuff

in the sense of an emotional (objective) standard held inside that can

allow me to see stuff for what it is.... and not personalize it - see it in others crap

they send your way, including moments of my own insecurity - and not having that

disrupt my work going forward. This probably doesn't

make sense I need to better describe it but for now - this is my explanation.

I also started to think about the nuns here. At times I don't feel like I am getting good

feedback from them. Feedback in the form of taunts and slights. I don't know if that's my role

as the only priest here but I know from this just that you can't like everyone you work with.

If I like what I am doing then I should not be disengaged from doing it - just because of

some of the folks I lwork with. I think maybe (we intended arfie) a lot of us have to deal with that

and just make our intention and commitment to the work rather than the social outlet work can be

at times. Which thankfully it is at times but not enough.

That's a hard and fast challenge to work with. When I hear words that feel like 'taunts and slights', I stop it at the point of hearing it.

That's the only way I can describe how I move through those moments. The tone, the facial/body expressions, and the area usually reveal the hidden origin of those words. It takes time to find the method that brings joy in that moment.

I wish you the best as you continue this path of healing. Here's to you!
