Passed my Typing Test!
I passed the typing test with flying colors. They wanted me to type 20-30 words per minute, and I did 39 after the mistakes were counted. I could have done more, but their test had me doing two spaces after each period, and I've never done that before, so it took some getting used to. At first I was wondering why it was marking it wrong, and then I quickly remembered that sometimes they want you to do two spaces after the period. I'm glad I took the practice typing tests to remind me of that (I didn't practice the two spaces after the period, but I saw it was an option and it reminded me that some places do that). The tests I was trying online I was getting in the high 40 to low 50 wpm. I'm just glad I passed. I was a bit stressed about failing it, but it's over and done with.
My boss and I talked about me getting a job there again. I want to work there so badly... I know I can, I just need part time. My boss said if I could do mornings it might be a possibility, but I am not a morning person. I tried waking up early today to go in for a full day, and I couldn't manage it. I was just so tired from not sleeping the night before. I'm going to try again on Monday. I'm going to keep trying and trying until I can do it, and I can do it all the time. I want to get a full time job there eventually, and so I will have to work the hours they want me to. I wish it could be like jobs I've had in the past where I could choose my own hours, but that's not a luxury I have here. It's the one bad thing about the job. Well, it can't be perfect.
My mood today was good again. Once I got out of bed (I got 12 hours sleep again), I had my coffee and went to the typing test. I passed, and it made me happy. I can't wait until I can get a job there. I just wonder how it's going to work with me going to the doctor and therapy and all that. I know seeing my psychiatrist will be easy, since he works at that clinic, but my therapist works far away. I like my therapist and I don't want to switch. I guess I will figure that out when I get there. I have to first get the job, and then put in my requirements for the job. I feel normal, going into work like a normal person. It makes me feel like I'm giving back, and that I'm doing something positive. It makes me feel more productive.
I need that in my life. I'm not good at sitting at home, doing nothing. I wonder if there's a way that I could take a leave in January and February at work so I can relax and get over my depression, and then come back to work in March. I don't know how they would respond to that. I don't know how understanding they are about that sort of thing. I would still come in and volunteer, but not as a full time staff. I would have to ask. I can ask my boss this sort of thing and I don't think she will take it the wrong way. I'm just trying to figure out what I can do to work around being disabled. I just hate sitting at home doing nothing all day.
Today at work was a bit stressful again. I made a small mistake, but my boss caught it before I did it permanently. I just worry, because I heard that you get chewed out badly for making a wrong appointment. I don't want to do anything wrong. But my boss left me in charge of the desk while she did her work. I'm doing the job of the person that is supposed to be there, I'm just not getting paid for it. I don't think it's fair, but I asked for it, so it's on me. I need to know if I can handle the job on my own, and so far I think I can. It's not the best thing in the world, but I have help, and it's great to know I can do stuff.
Food today was good... I'm a bit below my calories, but I want a grilled cheese sandwich, and that will put me in my range. I've been craving a grilled cheese sandwich for a while, and I think it will be good to have one tonight. I'm just waiting for the time to come when I get a bit more hungry. I made chicken soup from scratch again for dinner. I had chicken soup for breakfast and dinner lol. Stress was moderate today... I'm chalking it up to being in training for a real job. Sleep was good last night... I just needed more since I didn't get enough the night before. I only woke up a couple times, and most of that was when my alarm was going off LOL! Mood has been good... I'm back to feeling like a regular human being again :)
