partnering sides
The previous post was indeed me just trying to find some balance.
Letting my spirit soar a little which then begged the issue of getting it all back in.
Afterward writing that, I went down to do the meal prep - I felt like indeed at odds
with the group and with myself - how to be responsible and how to know or when to know
when it would be ok - to have some pleasure.
I realized these two sides to things - to life - are part of the whole.
An image of my late grandmother came to mind - and I saw how she
was both responsible, ready for duty as well as pleasure seeking. Thinking
about her centered me in a place of practical sense.
That balance is amazing!
I realized it's important to be ok with pleasure
and yet responsible for your life as well. The middle path in a sense.
We all have that charge - how are we dealing with our need for pleasure
and responsibilities in life?
My grandmother knew how to keep life and the household running and
also had the penchant for enjoying life too. She always was cooking and freezing
stuff for the unexpected dinner party or personal use.
Her motto was "Life’s an attitude" - and in regard to pleasure (which is just my observation tonight
about her) it really gives her personal perspective on how she was ready to deal with both the bad
and the good things that came her way.
As I was in the meal prep tonight I felt a kind of wisdom come to mind.
Her's was "You win some, you lose some"
For me I was doing something completely new tonight.
I had to wing it -
I had to wing it -
and I just felt at easy giving thought to this:
"Good judgment comes from experience
Experience comes from
Bad judgment"
Go ahead and try things I told my workmate who was
asking me for advice - and you will learn along the way -
do things in a way that you see fit for yourself - if the person
who wants it done hasn't specified - and your two standards
will meet at some point in the end. :)
