Owning my story...
A wonderful Christian lady has been placed in my life and I believe its to help me understand how to "own my life story" as she so gracefully puts it - she's always 'owning' her story about her past and I see God's healing hand in her.
So, how do you own your story? Accept it for what it is? Speak it out-loud? Embrace the pain and suffering as well as the growth and enlightful insight to you as a real person?
To own my story I would have to start with my very first memory of childhood abuse...
...I was young, very young...maybe 2-3years old....I remember the thick cotton trainer panties that toddlers wear. My mother was going out to party and she left my two older siblings and me with a man, her friend, to sit with us. He told me if I didn't let him "touch & play" with me then he would just leave and we would be all alone for anyone to come in & take us away.
That's all I can write now- the memories are so painful - to be so young and used like an object for others enjoyment makes me so sick and sad...

I am so very sorry to hear about this. Horrible memory but just goes to show that even at such a young age, it remained in your mind. I hope the rest of your story will tell us how this man was brought to justice. Some day, some way, abused children grow up and speak up. I hope he has been shamed. I pray that God will avenge your pain and this man is not free to abuse others any longer. So sorry for your pain.... (((Big Hugs)))
