owning it
I know that I have gotten a real sense of peace about being here at the monastery.
I've come to understand and know that there's no perfect place nor am I perfect
or are others. The lesson of so many therapists has been to control my reactions -
be self responsible and to own how I react. (I just wrote a beautiful whole journal
and I lost it :(. ) I like generally what this place brings out in me. Contrasting are my
relationships at times outside of the monastery....at times.
I am simply realizing the upset I get at times is HOW I GET - to own that it's my reaction.
I need to then put myself in a situation how I like to be. That's my agency right there.
So I am starting out this morning, they gave me another morning without serving,
and I am realizing that I need focus and purpose. I'll 'keep it together.' I am pretty happy right now :).
Have a good day you guys!!

don't accuse me of experting, but i solidly believe that sense of self-ownership is what i was lacking way back when i was lost in the royal we. there is no me. there is only we. until the arrival of the dread THEM, of course.
long is the battle of us against them
us thinks we has won
once more
then again
them grows so fat
us grows so thin
round and around in an unending spin
lost in the rut
them doth suck
until one day i breathe in a spirit of trust
to see there is no them
there is only us ~the arf
Thanks Arfie
Gosh i really have a sense of others now. Thinking about myself and where I want to put myself gives me a sense of boundary. Though I feel the world is ebullient love at times I know to give people their respect of space and privacy. I get a sense that we’re all contributing and wanting to contribute. Thinking about myself can make me go sky high mood wise. But I’ve caught myself. I feel kind of insecure and unknowing of what direction to take today but I’m using my therapist's wisdom to just think about what is it that I need to get done today, the simple one thing I need to get done that sets me on the path and forward .
It's great that you work so well with your therapist Marky
I hope that today is a very good day....xo
Thanks Janet!
