Overwhelmed with school
I have to finally admit to myself I am overwhelmed!
This is my second term at UO after attending a community college. I had such a comfort level at the other, smaller, less young people, college! My grades were awesome and i graduated there with high honors... All fine and dandy!
Then I move over here to attend U of O and it is soooo different! I knew it was going to be, and I guess I know I will survive! But I don't like getting C's.... Right now, both my main classes I have C's in. I am hoping to get them to B's before the end of term, but I don't know for sure...
I have so much more homework now, and it is harder than ever before! This all makes me wonder if I can or even want to, attend grad school when I am done. Maybe its more than I want to mess with... Right now, I just don't know!
This frustrates me because I was so set on getting my PhD... I may have to find a way to be ok with my BS.
Some days I think I'll just use my BS to find an upper mgmt position back with the government where I was a front line office manager for quite a few years. There are days when I just wish I could get up and go to work instead of school....
*****SIGH***** I gotta remember I still have time to get this all figured out. I have 4 terms left for my BS.... and I know I'll finish off this part. Then who knows where I'll go from there. Not like I have to decide today. But sure could use a break! Oh well... no one said it was gonna be easy! LOL!

I don\'t come easy! I worked full time in a factory when I started college all the way through until I got my BS 6 years later. I did the 1st 2 years in a community college then went on a transfer program where a 4 year college sent the teachers to our town and held accellerated classes. We did a semester like in 6 weeks. It was tough but doable. I don\'t think I would have started if I had known just how hard it was going to be.
It\'s over now, just got the student loans as a reminder! LOL! Hang in there you can do it.
Thanks sarge!! I keep telling myself I can do this... if these darn kids can, so can I :) I won\'t give up.... just needed to vent!
Hang in there, Becca! You set the bar pretty high for yourself by excelling in community college, but it\'s ok to be a B/C student, too.
I went to nursing school as an adult and I know how hard it is to keep all those balls in the air at the same time. I can\'t imagine adding the stress of learning the WLS way of life as well.
You\'re human...... Just do the best you can :) I promise, once you have your degree no one will ask your class rank!
Thanks for the reminder!! I needed to hear that today! :)
