Overcoming tired

I'm just tired. I haven't been sleeping well lately, and I had to be up early today to see my therapist. I did have a good session with her, and afterwards I got a manicure and pedicure, as well as my eyebrows waxed. It was a pretty good deal, too- $33 for it all. Where I used to go, it was $30 for the pedicure alone, so it's good. I didn't do my strength exercises today because my knee hurts. I can still do my arms and stomach, I just can't do the legs. I need to keep it up, because just one day off is going to possibly send me on a downward spiral. I have to do what my body allows, though. I can't push myself too hard too fast.
I just talked to my mom. Chele has been trying to find out what she can about her mom who died when she was 11. She's not blood related (but might as well be, so she is my cousin no matter what people say) so I don't know what happened to the rest of her family, but she just found a guy who knew her mom and her uncle. She found out her uncle passed away a number of years ago, but she has a cousin. She was telling me that I'm closer to her than any blood cousin she might have, and to feel special. She knows that my mom was supposed to adopt her and Nikki so then we would have been sisters. I just know she's family to me. I love her daughter, Lynn... she reminds me so much of myself at that age. Her son is also adorable... Nikki's kids are wonderful, I can't wait to be able to go back up there and see them all. Money's going to be tight for the next couple months as Geo gets a really cool birthday present for his brother, but it's coming from Geo's money and not mine. I'm still going to contribute to his brother's present, but it's just going to be tight for him.
I know it seems like a contradiction that I said money is going to be tight, and here I am talking about getting my nails and stuff done, but I had to do something for myself. I spend too much time and energy on Geo and us that I neglect me. I was expecting Geo to be mad that I got my nails done and stuff, but he was cool with it. He understands that sometimes you have to spend money on yourself, even if I don't most of the time. I get my check tomorrow, and then it will be happy dance time. It's not like all my worries are going to go away right away, but it's going to be nice to have money in the bank again, and know I have a steady income from that point on. I know that it's coming, but at the same time it's hard since I don't have the money in the bank yet.
Next week after I get my check I'm going to go get my hair cut. I haven't had it cut since December of 2009, so it's a bit overdue for a trim. Just a trim, mind you is what I'm looking for. I like donating my hair, so I grow it out as much as I can and then chop it off. I'm going to grow it for a bit longer this time (I normally do 2 years, or 10 inches) but I'm going to wait so I have more hair when I chop it all off. I like donating my hair, knowing it goes to kids who don't have hair for whatever reasons. I donate to Locks Of Love. I donate everything I can- hair, blood, I'm an organ donor and in the blood marrow donor list. If they do find someone who matches me in the bone marrow list, it's going to be a lucky day for that person since I'm a mix of Mexican and Norwegian. I know it's a funny mix, but hey, what can a girl do? I didn't choose my parents.
Stress/Mood/Food- I'm not really stressed today, but getting the pedicure wasn't as relaxing as I hoped it would be. It kinda hurt with the way they were pushing my cuticles around, but it needed to be done. Sitting with my feet in the spa was nice, though. Mood is good... I'm almost great, but not quite there with some back pain. Food- I had a Greek yogurt for breakfast, some empanadas for lunch, ramen for a snack and chicken and rice soup for dinner.

Even with the money tight, you are right, sometimes you have to tret yourseof special and a day spa treatment is just the ticket, for only $33 you couldn\'t go wrong nd now you are all pretty and shinny again and should be looking spiffy. Good for you, I am glad you treated yourself to a day of niceities like that.

My hair is a couple inches down my shoulders now... I just want a trim to get the ends off, even though they are pretty healthy. It\'s good to cut your hair every now and then anyway.
