Over a year now
So, It's been over a year since my son died. I was able to get through his birthday his angel day, the holidays. It's unbelievable what the human spirit can bear. I miss him so much. I still can't look at a picture of him without crying, and I still want him to text message or call me. I still take medication to cope. My life is forever changed. Love to everyone in this group it's been awhile. It's hard for me to come here sometimes.
Again, love to you all

It is so nice to hear from you. I wish I didn\'t understand, but I do. ((((hugs))) Vicki
It is so true...our lives are changed forever but we are survivors. May the days ahead be gentle for us all...
Love to you and dearest Ralph, Linda
This path is still so very new and raw so please BE give yourself lots of loving care and wiggle room. No two of us are the same just as our children were not, yet there are those common tethers, heartstrings I call them that connect us. I truly believe it\'s the separation and isolation that a mom can feel that is one of the most painful prices we pay for having to say good-bye for now to our lovely sons and daughters.
Just do what feels healing for you and know that there are no expectations here. We land, we fly, we soar, we crash, we coast... It\'s all in the living of our lives and truly I think of each of us here as warrior mamas. I always have and I always will.
Love to you, warrior mama, and missing dear Ralph with YOU,
XO Joanie
Yes our lives are forever changes, just aw we are forever changed, but what doesn\'t change is that we are all here for you when you need us. I understand needing to take some time away, it is so very hard to deal with our own pain let alone try and comfort another when we know that pain so well! Just know that you are not alone, big hugs....Kathy
It is hard to come here.. but when you come here you are understood ..love ya!.
We are definitely survivors and forever changed. Sometimes I Iook at myself in the mirror and think, WHO ARE YOU? It is a blessing to be able to come here when you need to and know that you will be understood. Hugs, Paula
You have survived the first year. That is an amazing feat in itself..I look back over the years an I am astounded I have come this far when I did not think I could make it past the first days..the human spirit is indeed ableLauri
Oh my dear. I so understand. I still wish I could get one more call from Lisa - interrupting our dinner! And it is 6 years. This is such a painful time for you. You have had such loss.
Feel free to come here when you wish. If it does not feel right, that is just fine. Just know we care.
Love and tight hugs, M
Yes, I understand. There were many times when it was just too hard for me to come here. We will always miss our children and wish that we could just have one more moment with them or more! Sending you lots of love at this tender time. Leda
We will want them here always. How can we be blamed for that? Yet each day is a testament to the love we have for them. Sending you some peace!!!
Hugs to let you know I care & understand.
It IS incredible what the human spirit can endure! All of those firsts are so tough...and seconds can be hard as well. So just keep swimming, there will come a time when you can really enjoy things again.
You know what is right for you...come to the site if it helps to have an understanding ear...we truly \"get it\".
Love and gentle hugs...Karen
Pictures were extremely difficult those first couple of years. I actually put them away until I could look at them and then blow them a kiss and smile. It\'s a heartache we all know too well. We are all here for you. Much love. Robin
We each do what we can, when we can. I\'m so thankful that you found us so you don\'t have to go through this alone. We truly care & understand.
Many hugs....Vicki
Thank you all so much for the compassionate and heartfelt responses. I can\'t believe it that it has been over a year. Time has gone fast and slow at the same time if that makes any sense. Love and Hugs to all the warrior moms may god bless your lives everyday. I\'ve never been that religious but my relationship to god has changed through this tragedy.
