Out of control

Even though I've managed to stop eating, everything feels like it's spinning.  Not necessarily out of control, but just so much that I can't seem to get a grip on anything.  The upside is that I don't feel anything.  Not pain, or anger, or sadness.  Just...numb.  I suppose this will pass sometime, but until then I have a new week of starting work again after the five week holiday.  I'm exited about seeing my beloved students, but I'm weary of meeting the new ones.  My classes have reached a certain standard and I guess I'm just not in the mood to struggle with people who don't have a passion for what they do.
I have been working on a big project and there are two new projects in the future that I can't wait to get started on, but it is so frustrating to get through all the red tape.  There's only so much I can do on my own without involving my colleagues and they don't share the passion for this job as much as I do.
My son is doing great.  He's growing so fast and has started to hold his bottle in his hands and drink it himself.  I got this on video so I'll be able to show him when he's older just why I'm so proud of him.  I guess he'll be crawling around everywhere soon so I'd better start baby-proofing the house.  Luckily that's very obvious.  I am very lucky that he sleeps through the night most nights as well, so I'm not so tired all the time anymore.

Sounds like you have been blessed with a precious baby. Try to stay strong and think positively! Every child deserves happy, healthy parents.
