Out of Clinic

So I got out of the clinic today. I'm so tired because I didn't sleep well when I was in there. I was next to a woman who screamed all day and night, and so that made it hard to sleep. Actually there were a bunch of screamers who yelled at staff and other patients. The food was crappy almost the whole time I was there (Except for last night, when we got gumbo and crab salad) and it hurt my stomach. I had to take a bunch of Pepto to get some relief. Luckily I didn't get a migraine when I was in there. I don't know what would have happened if I had gotten one. They didn't have the Immitrex that I use when I get migraines. I just had to worry about the food. Well, the food and keeping away from the screamers and people who were just way out there.
I felt sorry for the girl on the other side of me. When she first came into the clinic, she was drunk. She fell out of bed and I helped her up. She sat on her end table and then fell off of that. When she woke up in the morning she was fine. Maybe a bit hungover, but normal. We started talking, and it was nice to have a friend in there who I could talk to. Then they started giving her medicine, and she just went totally space cadet. She didn't know where she was, kept on trying to go into the wrong room, and looked really bad. She had stopped brushing her hair, and turned into a screamer herself. I just felt so sorry for her, since it's the medication doing that to her. She was fine before it, and then suddenly gets crazy on meds. I think that's the reason why she flipped out.
I stayed in bed most of the time... It's boring in there. I had a magazine I was reading that my roommate had gotten earlier, and just read that. Yesterday I was supposed to get out, but they wanted to keep me another day so I could show them I could be social. I was in there voluntarily, but I didn't want to leave against medical advice and then be denied the next time I needed to be in there. I don't think they could deny me, but maybe they wouldn't make me voluntary. Plus I was hurting a bit, so I didn't want to be sitting up. I ended up napping a lot, but it helped since I wasn't getting good sleep at night. I hope I sleep well tonight... I need it. I have an appointment with my therapist tomorrow, and I have to wake up in time for me to get to the bus. I don't know what time that's going to be... I haven't looked up the schedule yet.
Today, I got home and went back to sleep. I was tired, and they woke me up at 7am. They only allow 8 hours of sleep a night (lights off at 11, lights on at 7) but I took my pills early and fell asleep before then. When I woke up in my own bed, I felt better. Still a bit tired, but I'm always tired. I gained a bunch of weight in the hospital... I don't know how much until I weigh tomorrow morning, but I needed to eat since I was having problems eating before. I weighed myself in the hospital, and it said I was 231 pounds, but there's no way I could have gained that much weight in just a couple of days. When I went into the hospital I was 215.5 pounds.
I was really stressed out some times when I was in the clinic. I was trying to not get too anxious about the other patients flipping out. It seemed at times that there weren't enough isolation rooms for all the people who were screaming. There were guys whose clothes were falling off of them and they did nothing to stop it, so I saw plenty of bare butts there. I don't need to see any more butts of strangers. The ones who were showing off their skin got put in the isolation rooms, then the police would come in with another hostile one and the new patient would yell at the cops, yell at the staff, yell at anyone. Then the patient would have to go into the isolation room. Lots of shots were given out when I was there.
Food today was good... I had breakfast in the hospital (not too bad... biscuit, eggs, and sausage) and I slept through lunch and had Chinese buffet for dinner. I might actually be over my calories today, but I'm not sure. It's hard to calculate buffets since you don't know for sure how much you've eaten. I don't normally measure out my food, but I can guesstimate at home. I had a really nice dinner with Geo... I was trying to explain to him what I was going through, but I still can't put the feelings into words. I wish I could, so maybe people could understand me.

Glad you are back - You were missed! Hopefully after some sleeptime in your own bed you will be ready to go back to work and able to get some exercise done. I bet those extra pounds will slide right off.

Sounds like you had quite the adventure in the hospital and not a good one. I\'m glad you are back home and can catch up on your sleep. Did they adjust your meds? How are you doing with that?
