OUR WORN OUT SHOES

I am saddened each time I hear another mom has started the PATH of some of us with our WORN OUT SHOES AND SOME THAT THEIR SHOES ARE GETTING WORN OUT RAPIDLY.  How many pair of shoes do we own, yet since that day we heard the words our SHOES started to look worn..No matter how many time we change them, no matter how many paths we tread, no matter how many time we wish...OUR SHOES ARE WORN....TODAY as we heard the NEWS our hearts break for the moms, the families now have started to share walking our paths and our worn out shoes.  No matter how many we buy, how many we own, how much we wish they looked new, they are never to be again.  My heart aches each day I hear another mom(family) has become a member of our broken hearts.  For no good reason today had to happen, yet it did and no matter where you were or what you were doing, you and I felt that horrible tug inside our body as we know, we can feel the pain the broken heart, the sleepless the nights, the whys, ...we know we are there.  Some of us may be farther down the road and some are just wearing those worn out shoes...we know, yet we wish we did not know the pain and sorrow our lives are traveling.  We wish we could turn back the time not just for ourselves but for each and every one that now walks with us.  We know the pain, we want to take it away....we know what their lives have changed forever, we want to fix it...yet we know nothing can or will we ever be able to wear any new shoes on our feet..no matter how facncy they are, or the perfect color we know as the moms today who lost their child those shoes will forever be gone.  Today as sad as it is, how we all wish we could change their shoes for then, that they would never have had to start wearing these old ugly shoes that each of us now wear and we will wear until the day we run free to our child, hold them tight, never to be separated again...that day we will be wearing our new beautiful shoes as we hold hand and hand once again and side beside we will all wear our bright shinny shoes that never pinch our toes again...to all the moms who began their journey today, however we can, a prayer, a though in some way let us reach out with our hearts for each and every mom who now have stepped into our worn out shoes.  As we needed someone, as we still do need someone, let us in someway show others we feel their pain.  Whether we know their name let our hearts be felt across our nation so someone knows we are here....Let us share our worn out shoes with someone and let them know we care. That we know the pain...That they can feel it from our hearts....WE ARE SORRY.....
AS I MISS KENNY AS YOU MISS YOUR CHILD LET US REMEMBER ANOTHER MOM IS WALKING IN OUR SHOES....

My heart is also with those who lost loved ones in the Oregon shooting and with all the newer moms who come here. This is not an easy journey and the road is especially rocky and abrasive! Sending you love, Sandi and thanks for the reminder, Leda
