Our hearts are big and there is plenty of love inside them to share with other people.
I loved Smokey with every breath I breathed.  I still do.  He passed on before me. This is unfair to me.  I live with the hole in my heart for him and live with the sadness of my loss.  I will probably carry this with me until it is my turn to pass away.
I believe our hearts are big.  I am still mourning the loss of Smokey but am in a new relationship with Dave.  You can mourn your loss and still have love for another person, 2 or 3.  I love my brothers, my sister-in-law, my nephew, niece, daughter, son-in-law to be, grandson, aunts, uncles, cousins and the Lord.  I have plenty of love in my heart.  Dave and I love one another but are taking it slow, which is good for me.
No matter what we are going through in this crazy mixed up world and how many people we lose in this life, our hearts are big enough to love many more people. Our hearts are not closed chapters of books but are open, if you allow yourself to be.  Some people shut themselves off after a loss.  I don't want to shut myself off but to live, learn and love.  After all, we have survived this loss.  Don't bury yourself along with it.  We are alive.  Lets live our lives and honor those that have gone before us.
It's my opinion only and you have your opinions as well from Diane B.

That\'s good advice, Diane, thanks. I think I have shut myself off to the possibility of ever finding romantic love again. I admire that you have room in your heart for Dave too. Hugs, Patti

I guess I have shut myself off. Even though my marriage wasn\'t perfect, I can\'t imagine loving anyone else. I think it\'s wonderful if you can open your heart and let another come in.
