Organizing life
I realize that I need to organize my life and
I realize I am good at taking care of my life in some areas and need improvement in others.
A therapist a long time ago suggested that I partner with someone who has strengths where
I had weaknesses - and another said to me "It's ok to let someone lead the way in partnership."
I suppose we all bring something to the party...
I need to plan for my future and yet I feel feeble at times (which I suppose we all might
in our natural variability...does anyone feel strong all the time??!!.)
I just made the observation the other day, and it's lingering, that we may want to live a life for ourselves at some
times - and then it may feel like all the external influences don't support us - just too difficult to keep moving forward in our own direction- and it may feel
incredibly 'hard going' to push forward as though it were all 'swimming upstream.' And so we might feel
feeble even more.
I suppose it's not entirely like that at all. I think we can look (open our eyes) and see
the culture and societal benchmarks and institutions around us that are meant to support
our survival...we must choose those things to abide by - but they are there and help us
stay afloat.
I know this sounds kind of vague but I am kind of looking at and considering the culture we
have...Like the role of Church as it organizes us ...or working as an employee or as an entrepeneur which
are two ways of organizing our professional lives.......
I am mighty tired but I do know I need to plan for myself and my future...
and so I need to organize my survival, though right now I feel just like 'I am swimming in the moment.'
If I do all that I am supposed to do...I sense things will be alright but I kind of need to provide
insurance within myself for that, by making some steps and plans.

I've come back to this thought now. I guess what I am noticing about my mind is that I can be so 'mental picture' oriented...
that moving forward in a pointed direction in life for means I need to sustain the image within my mind of that chosen path...
And that usually has me faultering big time and seemingly impossible....
But when I think about - the natural pitfalls and humanities of life - that we can't really rely on an image to get us through.
Some folks, like celebrities are very image oriented - but for myself I kind of think I just need to be kind of 'intellectual'
about my chosen path - for survival and career. I know I've gotta be self responsible -and by holding onto an image
I want to exist 'in pride' and 'knowing' - but we can't know every aspect of how the path we're making will be.
I'll bring this up with my therapist next time!
