Open Stars to Our Child
I read somewhere that the reason for Stars is they are openings so our children can look through from Heaven and see us Or if we try hard enough there is an opening that if we look hard enough, we can see through and see our children...how many times do I find myself staring into the sky for the right star so I can see right through them and see Ken. This I do every night when I go out with my puppy. Cold or hot outside I take the chance that just maybe that will be the time. I stood on the porch the other night staring to find the right star. Oh it looked so much bigger than the rest. I thought maybe this is the star. This is the night just a glimpse to find I was staring at a moving plane. It did bring a bit of a smile to my face as I think of the many ways we try to find a sign from our child..how much we want that. A dream, a feather, a butterfly, a penny And for me it seems to be a number. The number 3 will show up at really odd times for me. I have seen a huge outlined 3 in the sky when there were no other clouds in the sky and oh my husband saw that too. Shortly after Ken left us I had major surgery. He visited me 3 times in the hospital. He has 3 children. 3 brothers. One day walking through my kitchen on my screen porch there was outlined the number 13. I saw nothing that was reflecting....I guess someway somehow God allows us to connect It is not the same. It does not give us what we really want in our life. We want our child here with us...but as grieving moms we take what we are allowed to receive. Our hearts are broken a part that will never be repaired And as time passes and the tears cease from a constant flow and our baby steps force us from the depths of our pain that we never felt we would ever find our way out. Yet as much as we hurt and I would be surprised if any mom would not remember that horrible feeling the words were spoken they are gone..no no one ever forgets that pain so we take the baby steps and we look in the stars and hope maybe just maybe...

Sandi, so glad I logged on tonight and read your journal. It was beautiful. I loved the part that you wrote as much as we hurt and you would be surprised if any us mom would not remember that horrible feeling the words were spoken they are gone..no no one ever forgets that pain so we take the baby steps and we look in the stars and hope maybe just maybe...I am not like a lot of the Moms here I don\'t get any signs from Jeff or if I do I don\'t recognize them. Thanks again and sending you a great big hug to you my Friend. Love You, Nell
Hi Sandi. You have put in to words what we experience. I do get signs from time to time - in the form of birds usually, often noisy birds!
The last time was different. I lost my phone last week and got really upset. I knew that I had probably dropped it in a parking lot. I finally had a melt down and asked Lisa to please help me. Within 5 minutes I got an email message from a fellow asking if I had lost my phone as he had found one in a parking lot. He said my email was on my phone. We went to his house and I had my phone back within the hour. I have to believe it was Lisa reminding me that she still has my back.
Nothing however, replaces having her here with us.
Wishing you a lot more 3s.
Love and hugs,
Marlene
I also look at the stars,,, but I never thought of them being an opening..... I look and think Morgan is flying around them,, how beautiful heaven will be..
love ya!
That\'s a cool analogy - there has always been something mystical about the night sky. Take care ~ Joanna x
A beautiful and healing thought indeed. As a young family when we camped we always had a game of who could see the very \"first\" star of the night. It was such fun for one of us to say, \"There it is and it was only noon.\" LOL! This brings back some very precious memories for me. :)
Numbers for me as well are a way that Douglas says hello. Look up the significance of your 3\'s if you have not already. I was seeing 11:11 all the time and Teri sent me a place where I could go to read about it. I was blown away. It happens ALL the time for me now and also 7:11. Embrace those 3\'s and the messages from Ken as I\'m sure you do.
I appreciate your journal and there is a sense of peace woven throughout it. Healing is happening even in those moments we doubt it the most.
Heartfelt (((hugs)))

How comforting it is to think as I have looked up at the nite sky so many times, hoping to see Jennifer. I too have wondered what does it look on the other side of those stars as Jennifer sees them....you are right - not the same but somehow those stars give us hope. ((hugs)) Vicki
What a wonderful journal...I will never look at stars the same again. Hugs, Ann
Oh Sandi, this is such a beautiful and heartfelt journal. It brought tears to my eyes.
I love to look at the stars on a clear night. That\'s when I talk to Jared the most. I\'m also always on the lookout for a falling star. I think that would be him responding to me. Silly me, right?
But I do connect with the 3s also, primarily double or triple 3s. I sent Jared my last text message at 3:03 and it was received on his phone at 3:33. Jared was born on the third day in April, 1983 at 3:03. So I see these double and triple 3s just about everywhere.
I will keep looking at the stars and envision Jared, Ken and all of our children smiling down on us.
Love and Peace,
Diane
When the girls and I go out in the evening they always look to the sky to see if any stares were out. They always say Uncle Mike is watching because the stares out.
The stares are shinning bright for you tonight.
