Onward

Hubs is back from his tech boot camp, looking like a man in need of processing time. To my strictly personal senses, those tech boot camps are way more brutal than the Army boot camp I went through in 1973. The amount of information they pack into a week is enough to fry the most stable of circuits. It was a sweet reunion which held room for the dual processing of our radically different stress sets of the week. No competition. Just respectful individual processing.

YS and I wrote a text song before Hubs's return. We do that often where one of us sends the other a poetic line and we take turns writing the next line. I do this with Hubs as well, but not as often. It's hard to feed your poet in a busy life. I took the text song to mean YS was past the Exly bashing of his FIL the night before. Maybe. I was afraid to ask and that isnae mine to sort, regardless. Prayers in progress.

The door and window work on the honey barn has officially slid into over-time. As I fight off the flashbacks to the River Region Breach of Contract, I console myself with the simple fact that the materials and labor already invested in the project exceed the 50% down payment. If this contractor starts dancing like a CW honey do man from here, I believe I have already gotten my money's worth. No, Honey, you ain't getting the other 50% until you are done dancing. We damn sure ain't discussing the next project on the list until this project is fully evaluated.

The punch out work has yet to be scheduled, but I see no signs of stonewalling. Boo boos happen and recovery takes time. Remodeling is much tougher to predict than starting from scratch. Easy does it.

hi arfie, Happy Veteran's Day!

One of the things my therapy supporters keep harping on me to do is stand up on Veteran's Day when the public announcer calls for all Veterans to stand for the customary tribute. Yucko bucko. I'd rather argue with banker when she/he assumes hubby brought the VA benefits to the mortgage.

Small steps. . . For this step I think I'll try thanking you for the tribute instead of giving you a cyber-punch for "outing" me.

Maybe next year I'll risk going to church on Veteran's Day weekend.
