Only one week left at home
Well, there's just one more week at home left before I return to work. I had big plans about sending my little on to daycare, and get some much needed work done. Not to mention, I wanted to catch up on my doctor/dentist checkups.
Well, Monday was General Election Day here, so the daycare center was open only half-day. Of course the rest of the day was spent waiting and speculating the outcome. In my opinion, it was not the best outcome, but I have to live with the peoples choice for the next 5 years.
Then on Tuesday, the lady that runs the daycare said she had a death in her family, and has to travel to New York this weekend. I have to keep the baby today and Monday. She will be back on Tuesday.
My appointments are backing up. I am up to date with my OB appointments, but I do have a request form to have a mammogram. It will be my first one, and I am 43. I am a little anxious about it. I am longer overdue for my dental checkup. The hygienist has been calling since before Christmas. Those last few months of pregnancy were rough, so I couldn't make it then. I need to make a follow-up visit with the Internal Medicine Specialist that I saw for my gestational diabetes during pregnancy. I am also overdue for my eye exam. Fate has intervened in this one. My frames broke last week, so I need new glasses anyway. Probably I will need to get there next week. Last, but definitely not least, I need to see my psychiatrist. I have not seen him since having the baby and have run out of my Paxil. I need a new prescription.
I did some dusting and mopped the living room yesterday. It looks a little better. It's tough because you get attached to the nick nacks, but it is impossible to keep them all.
I think that's about all going on right now. Hope you all have a good weekend. For all the mothers, hope you have a fantastic Mother's Day. For those who have a mother that is still alive, treat her special on Sunday.
