One Year 46 weeks
It has been 12 weeks since my last update. Going to see my Phoenix Neurologist tomorrow.
We have been extremely busy since the end of November, 2012. Traveling, going to Bluegrass Festivals and visiting relatives and friends.
My meds are the same: : 1 mg Azilect once daily, 0.25 mg Pramipexole, and 25-100 mg of Carbodopa/Levodopa. 50,000 IU vitamin "D3" once per week with 2,000 IU the other 6 days.
I am having more frustration with shaky fingers. I have to sometimes use both hands on the computer mouse to select a cell or object. I spend about as much time correcting double strikes etc as I do typing. I am learning flat picking on the guitar. Songs like Whiskey before breakfast and Red Haired Boy. Fiddle tunes that go super fast. I work against the metronome and work on getting my speed up to a reasonable tempo. I figure I have to learn a new skill and new knowledge every day to make up for what I forget and what I can no longer do.
Lots of frustration with ED. The magic pills no longer work. I am still driving the motor home. I have to plan shorter trips and I stop at every rest stop. I thump tires and walk around. Get a snack and a cola. If I am sensing some sleepiness I lay down for a fifteen minute nap. My wife drives the Honda Civic behind and we chat back and forth with radios. I hope to avoid any medications that are notorious for sudden sleeps. Even with that we keep our daily moves to a hundred miles or so.
