One more thing!

Hello SOTH - I am enjoying my time off from work and attempting to get some much needed rest.  In saying that, my little dog, Lahti, had a seizure tonite.  It took her awhile to "be normal" again - this is her 3rd seizure in 2 years.  URGH - one more thing that I am going to have to take care of.  In saying that it doesn't mean I don't love Lahti, I do, but I am so tired that the thought of "doing anything" exhausts me.
I'll be home in a week and will take her to the vet then. I'm praying since her seizures are far and few between that the upcoming week she will be fine. Thanks for listening - it just seems like everything that happens is so magnified and harder to deal with since Jennifer died.  I feel like I'm on a short tether and the least thing shortens my tether.  Guess it's all part of this grief journey and emotions that change on a daily basis.
It is beautiful weather here in Arizona and taking the boat out this afternoon was great. Something about the water that I find soothing so tomorrow is another day - thanks again for being there.
((hugs)) and much love to you all. Vicki

So sorry to hear about Lahti. I understand the exhaustion - sometimes getting up and getting dressed was as much as I could manage - actually sometimes I didn\'t bother to get dressed.
I am so glad you are able to be on the water. I too find it very calming.
This grief journey is not easy - emotions can overwhelm and it is hard to differentiate between what is important and what isn\'t. Everything seems insurmountable.
Enjoy the beautiful weather. It is still winter here!

That is sad about Lahti. Hopefully it won\'t be anything too seriously wrongIt is hard to deal with any extra stress-- when we\'re already feeling so overloaded. Even the littlest amount that ordinarily wouldn\'t faze us, can throw us for a loop, sometimes. Rest when you can--that helps with keeping a \"reserve\" of energy going, in order to deal with unexpected \"triggers\" that can come at us like shot arrows at our heartLove, Donna

Enjoy what you can when you can. My new motto. I sure hope Lahti has no more seizures...there are frightening in a dog. I hope you can find some real peace to bring home with you.

This seizure activity is most likely idiopathic....no known origin. If it worsens, there are inexpensive medications to control it. I think you should look for a veterinary neurologist rather than a general veterinarian. Call the teaching college in veterinary medicine in your geographical area, they will refer you. I had a rough Collie who occasionally had seizures. He was not medicated. You will feel better having consulted an expert in the field. My dog is having a mastectomy tomorrow. This stuff happens. Put it into God\'s hands, you are carrying a terribly heavy burden already.

Vicki, I understand what you mean by one more thing...not that you don\'t love Lahti but any additional expenditure of energy or thought or having to do one more thing...
Hugs and hope all goes well

Dear Vickie , I hope your little dog is going to be ok. Glad your getting a chance to just rest if you can, When my daughter died. I can,t even remember the first few years. I was so sick with anxiety, panic attacks , I don,t know what I was doing. So I know how hard all this is on you. Bless your angel Hugs Mary Ann

Vickie, good luck with Lahti. Our dogs are \"therapy\" dogs for us, as I\'m sure Lahti is for you. So, hoping you can figure out a way to treat Lahti so she can remain at your side to give you love and comfort.

Hoping this can be figured out as our fur babies are powerful healers indeed.

Rest is needed so hopeful you are getting just that and lots of sunshine too.
