One more day...
It is Sat. night for me, Easter Sun., really. My Easter dinner plans have changed. We are having grilled bratwurst, potato salad, deviled eggs, pork & beans, black and green olives, and chips. Not your traditional dinner. I was going to fix the whole ham thing. I checked my propane and I am at 0%. I will be lucky to have a hot shower Mon. morning! I have called for a 1/2 fill but it will not be until Mon. Brrrrrr...for the shower. So, we are having a non-traditional Easter dinner. I don't care! My family gathering is what is important. The lack of propane is my fault. I simply forgot to call. Oh well. Craig and I went out to eat with some long time friends tonight. It was nice. Craig and Randy got in the hot tub but Danna & I just talked. It was nice. I have been friends with Danna for 26 yrs. so there is little we cannot share. She lost a son after only 12 hrs. so she does understand grief to a certain extent. My day was a fairly ordinary day. Walmart for shopping....I hate Walmart! But, it was the quickest thing to do. Dinner..nice. Visiting...nice. I drove by the church of Josh's funeral on my way to Walmart this afternoon. It was packed! The media was there as well as Hwy. patrolmen. He was a MoDot worker. He was in his vehicle when the accident occured, not doing stuff on the road, so I really don't understand. Anyway, it will, I think, make it even more difficult for the parents when the let down occurs. And, we all know it will. It makes me very sad!

You have such empathy for others, and yes, the let down will come - we do know that. I remember the first week that Shaun died - was just chaotic.
I was in shock, but I had so much to prepare for. Remember sitting at my desk here thinking where do i start - and the running - the constant running for the next three weeks to get his house cleaned out - Somehow I had the strength to do it all. Enjoy your dinner, your family - and remember I\'ll be here thinking of you. Love & hugs,
I certainly think it\'s good to deviate from traditions once in a while so enjoy the Bratwurst Easte dinner (lol). I\'m glad you have such a good friend in Danna. It can be so comforting to be able to tell others your joys as well as sorrows. I\'m so sorry for another family to have to go through a loss. Take care. Love Robin
Time for change so your dinner sounds wonderful. It\'s good to have close friends, so comforting. Danna sounds awesome. Your right his family will some support in weeks to come. Their grief so raw. I understand that so much. You will do what you can, but also please be gentle with yourself too. You can only do so much. Take Care of U. Love and Hugs.
Traditons are what we make them. Hope the propane hold up for Monday. Love and hugs Cathy
