ONE MORE DAY.....
Monday, 11-24-08: Okay....I can do this! One more day of work and then 5 days off for Thanksgiving break! YEA! I am still pretty puny so I am looking forward to more rest! I have been going through some old photos. I really haven't been able to except for a few when Scott died. We needed some for the funeral and obiturary then. Anyway, I found a photo of Scott and his Dad from Dec. 1997. They were watching TV and Scott looked so relaxed. I never imagined he would be dead just shy of 10 years later. I have posted this photo along with another. The other is a favorite of mine. He was 3 and just TOO CUTE! It is so sad! I miss him more each and every day. The pain just gets more intense but inward. I took a zillion pictures over the years. I wish I had taken that many more! We went to see Melissa's headstone yesterday. It is beautiful and I will post a photo later. They had her photo etched into the stone. My camera only had one shot on it so I just got a picture of that and not the other side. I will go back before Christmas. Our new teacher started today. She is okay, but so young! She is only 22. She has already thrown some things of mine away. I had a little pile of odds and ends in a corner. That will be an issue if it happens again. None of it was extremely important...some articles, a couple of magazines I read at lunch, and a few songs to teach the boys. It is the fact she tossed my stuff that is a problem. She has a great idea as far as scheduling goes. However, many days, scheduled things just don't work for our kids. She will learn, I am sure. She is nice, though, and does truly seem to care about the boys. That is all that is really important. (I will really have to keep reminding myself of that!) A friend of mine emailed me today. It was actually an email that she was sending to other friends. However, in the middle of writing it, out of the blue, Scott's memorial page popped up. She went to it, lit a candle, and decided he wanted her to send me the email, too. I am so glad she did. It was an amazing story of her vacation and the scattering her Dad's ashes along the way. I guess she saw something similar in a movie and thought it was a good idea. The story was very inspiring. I suggested she try to get it published. It also has some humor, which is awesome. I felt good knowing Scott had, in is own way, jumped right in! I just have to keep telling myself, "One more day!", no matter what the day!

Of course, I\'m reading this late. But, YEAH today is the start of your time off!! I hope you are sleeping in late.
22 does seem kind of young, doesn\'t it? Maybe she\'ll settle in and do a great job with the kids.
Enjoy your time off, dear. *Hug* Adrianne
What an awesome Scott story! Very inspiring! There are so many signs, I can\'t believe that people miss them, but this one was \"right on\"--proof he will be with you on Thanksgiving! Love, Judy
Yes 22 does sound young to me. But we all started out young at one time in our lives. Enjoy your time off & try to relax some if you can...Love & hugs, Connie
Enjoy your time off...I am off to the beach tomorrow...yey! Hope things work out with the new, young teacher...remember they don\'t think like us...the mature, wise ones...you may just mention to her to ask about stuff before she tosses it. Have a good holiday...Karen
Enjoy your break. Rest relax and have a good Thanksgiving. Love and hugs Cathy
