One Day at a Time

My husband was diagnosed with a terminal illness a month ago but passed away on Wednesday evening.  Everything has happened so fast.  He was in ICU for a week on a ventilator and sedated so we never really had a chance to say goodbye or prepare.  I am exhausted in so many ways.  Because of being on a special diet for my MS and having no appetite under the circumstances, I have lost 8 pounds during that week.  I am hoping that it doesn't throw me into a relapse.  I stay busy trying to take care of all the "business" one has to deal with during this time but it's hard to do with an MS mind and its lack of concentration and memory.

I'm going to get my monthly B-12 shot this morning but having a friend take me there and to go get some groceries.  So many have asked what they can do to help and I finally decided to let someone do something for me.  I get out and walk Sadie a mile when the sun comes up like we did before.  It just takes me a lot longer.  My energy is just not there but she deserves it.

Gentle hugs,  Linda

Oh my Linda my condolences to you. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Taking one day at a time is all you can do. Good job on allowing someone to help you out cause I know we always say "no I got it" even when it's too much to bare. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I got to the Dr's office and they asked for my B-12. I forgot to take it with me. I have to supply it. I had to come back home and go right back. I was glad I had a friend kind enough to drive me.

Gentle hugs to you both, Linda
