On the Road to Recovery...
Well, today was my second day at home with this "illness". Last night, when the nausea was not subsiding with over the counter meds, I decided to go to a walk in clinic for an evaluation. Because their labs where already closed, and she had concerns about possible appendicitis, she gave me a referral letter for the ER.
After running some tests at the ER, the doctor there concluded it was probably gastritis. I got some medications through an IV, along with a bag of fluid to rehydrate me. I have a follow up visit scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
I am still a bit queasy, and the meds make me sleepy. The doctor told me to avoid dairy, so I have a pretty bland diet.
Now my husband has started complaining about his stomach. I hope his case is not as bad as mine.
On a brighter note, through all this, I have not had any panic or anxiety attacks - not even when they drew blood.
Thanks for all the prayers and hugs.
