On C25K...so far, anyway

Dear DS diary,
So I've decided I'm going to target a Virtual 5K race this fall...largely to show up my sister who is in a lot worse shape than I am, but also because the few friends I have would love to see me complete one.
I just finished Week 2 Day 1.  The program is designed to be done over nine weeks, but planning my weeks that well has been elusive.  So I'm getting by on two a week so far, which means this will take around three months to do total if I'm consistent.  This is fine because it would place the race itself somewhere in the fall when conditions are better for the actual race (cooler).
The one concern I have is that during the first week I managed to push my heart rate on my Fitbit all the way up to 170 at one point.  That doesn't sound right, but I'm not comfortable with my target range for this, don't know where it should be.  I had arranged to talk to a trainer about it the other day, but a last-minute schedule conflict meant she couldn't come in.  I wasn't told about this even though I had let the other normal trainer on Tuesday know I wanted to talk to her until it was heartbreak time.  That got me worried, so I had to disqualify heart rate checks for now until I can get an answer.
I don't question the competence of the other trainer, a guy.  But my comfort level with things like this goes with the trainer I wanted to ask, a girl.  I can't explain why.  It's definitely a quirk with me, and before you ask, I should also say that this is not a new thing with me.

Sometimes its just easier to talk to someone of the opposite sex.
I tend to pick male doctors and chiropractors etc. I don\'t think there is anything wrong with it.
I hope you keep up your training. Good luck
miss you

Can\'t really explain why it\'s so with me on this one Julie...of course, the guy trainer is not helping his cause by talking about his dreams of being a storm chaser. I think he\'s crazy. And all I really want to do with Lauren is ask her a couple of questions.

I\'ll find a way to keep the training going regardless, but it would just be more helpful if some input from a professional fit in here somewhere.
