Old habits
I really just wanted to smoke a cigarette today. I was having a hard day and I had gotten a lighter the other day but something told me to say no even though I'm going through a really rough time right now things will look up, signed up for grievance counseling. I watched a movie and balled my eyes out yesterday. The movie just reminded me of my grandma for sure but you know at the end of the day I have to gather my feelings and my emotions and just be OK with everything. I can't believe over four people close to me died in the last month. It's really a shame but they're in a better place and they're safe and in paradise now I'm glad I did not smoke today. I do not want to resort to all of that. It's a personal choice for me and I'm choosing not to. I'm glad I said no.

Good for you for saying no to smoking! Facing your feelings in the moment, without numbing them with a substance is the best way to heal them.
Sending you support. I learned through my in person support group from griefshare.org, the pain of grief is because of the deep love we shared with a person. Not sure how active, but DS has a grief group where you can express your grief too
