Ok, trying to do better this time.
I haven't been on here in a while because I have been doing so well.
It all started a few weeks ago, I started to have nausea, crampy, shaky feeling, breast hurt, and was really tired. My husband and I have been trying to conceive and my period was a couple of days late, so I thought maybe I was pregnant took a test it was negative. Waited a couple of days, no period took another test still negative, finally got my period. I figured the fatigue and nausea and all of the other stuff would go away. Well my breasts no longer hurt and for the most part I am no longer crampy, but still sick to my stomach and tired. Of course when the symptoms did not go away, my anxiety started to kick in. Which wrecks my sleep and makes me more tired.
I am trying to do better this time, I am trying to stay calm and not automatically assume every symptom is leading to some awful disease. I have also been trying stay off the internet and not look up my symptoms on webmd because they tend to list everything it could every be no matter how rare it might truly be. Plus it always ramps up my anxiety because I tend to focus on the worst thing it could be and then totally freak out about it. So I have tried to keep busy, still exercising, and not focusing on my symptoms. I have a doctor's appointment today so hopefully that goes well and the doctor will listen to what I have to say and will help me. I really don't want to be nauseaous any more and I really want to be less tired. I will update how it goes later.
The doctor's appointment went well. I really felt she listened to me. I told her about how I was feeling and she asked a bunch of questions. She decided to run some blood tests, I believe for thyroid and even for mono, along with some others but I am not sure what. She also wants me to try over the counter medication for GERD because I guess it can make you nauseous even if you do not have other symptoms. I am willing to give it a try. She also suggested that it could be a virus, I guess it can last for 3 or more weeks? She wants me to try the medication and the vitamins for 4-6 weeks to see if it goes away, unless the blood test show something. So I guess we are in a holding pattern until then. This appointment I believe went well although my brain is already trying to find a reason to freak out, such have on and off stomach pain, which my anxiety is trying to it into some sort of fatal disease. I hate my way of thinking, I swear my brain hates me. Well I am going to try to stay positive and follow the doctors directions and just carry on. God willing I will stay calm and relay on his strength.
